Well in this case almost everyone so that is not too helpful, but there are 4 people in my mind and I would like to keep those names private until there is more information available. Reading through past Mafias it seems like MikeD is almost always whacked early by the Mafia. He wasn't whacked night 1 and to me either that means that MikeD is mafia or the mafia wanted to be vague in their whack.
So if MikeD is a very strong player and capable of finding the 3 mafia late in the game, why would people in the town vote for him unless those voters thought he was Mafia? If I was a veteran player who is a townie for the game and wasn't sure on who to get rid of after an unhelpful Day 1, I would look to eliminate someone like myself who is in their 2nd game and could easily be confused by mafia tactics.
ed; improper use of an apostrophe.
This is kind of what I've been battling with, although I don't completely agree with the last part, as I would be wary that mafia had a part in round 1 being unhelpful, and that would require some GOOD mafia to make happen.
Mike has built a reputation for being either extremely helpful as a townie, or very sly and an outright mastermind as a member of the mafia (at least in my experiences) I've been burned by mike more than once, and I always vow that I'll not let it happen again, so a lot of my instincts are telling me to vote for him.
Nico probably shouldn't have survived the first round, but was spared. Given the type of 1st round we had, it's difficult to see any kind of possible mafia influence, and the debate on whether it was a mafia tactic to have Nico show up late has gone in circles, but I feel it's pretty doubtful.
Quacker has been in the middle of some discussion with Jimmy and Mike D. Although I feel his original point of voting for mike was pretty weak, as Mike pointed out (being last to vote, yet 15 hours passed after his vote without a peep from anyone), the discussion came to this post:
Just want to say that I'm suspicious of MikeD and Jimmy because they started a little spat about MikeD intimating that me and Jimmy could be Mafia together with me as a distancing move. And now they both conveniently set their sights on me.
I still don't know what TPFTW is suppose to mean.... And I can't shake that Mike pretty much dodged the accusation, and left it without addressing it at all, but I guess there's not much he could say really.
With all that said, I'm pulled back to something LLL said, and many have said before...
Mafia have and will do anything to win. They will vote for each other, they will argue, they will agree, they will split votes, they will all vote the same down the line, they will do ANYTHING.
Those who do not learn from history, are doomed to repeat it. Going with my gut on this one.
The first copy I'm not even going to open the box it was shipped in. The second copy I'll take out of the box but I'm not going open the packaging. The third copy will have my greazy fawning fingerprints all over it and will get played ad infinitum!!!
EDIT: OK OK. So the pre-orders of this CD, the packaging is made from re-purposed bibles. So What I'm buying is a Bible that's been re-purposed into a double CD case made by hand (by the band members themselves!!!!!!). It's a work of art (as is everything Negativland!) well worth the $15 price tag. These are limited edition and only so many will be made. They will eventually run out of Bibles and patients.
You have no idea how jealous I am. Enjoy that festival. For $120, I'm super impressed.
Thanks! When I saw the price I couldn't resist. Ought and Swans are worth the price alone for me. I'll admit though I don't know much of the lineup, any recommendations that aren't Swans, tune-yards, Mac Demario, st Vincent, son lux, perfume genius, and Savages?

Ok, I'm just realizing that I suggested Gary Clark Jr. should HOST a super jam with Clapton and Dave Grohl joining him which seems veryyyyy backwards, haha. Grohl and Clapton are way to big to JOIN a superjam. I doubt Clapton will ever play in one but it is possible he could come on for a few songs, though unlikely, and Grohl is more likely to host a super jam and perhaps he would have Gar Clark Jr. join him.
So I guess I'm joining the following that pushes for the Grohl grunge superjam (though I'd love him to play a superjam of any genre

Ok, I'm gonna go ahead and put it out there because it slipped my mind before and we all know it won't happen, but the show that I want to see more than any other is Chic feat. Nile Rodgers (hopefully in the LN Which closing spot)

Agree with everything you said, Bird, except I think Boyd probably landed in the right spot. I've watched both of Bortles preseason games and he appears to have big time pro talent. Seen a bit of Mettenberger and Bridgewater and they both played well. Connor Shaw was awesome at the end of the Browns-Redskins game even though they didn't get the win. He had a good record at SC (17-0 at home). I hope he gets a shot to play somewhere down the line. Once he gets on the field I think Manziel will make some amazing plays and also make a lot of poor decisions early on. If he stays healthy and Cleveland keeps the offensive talent around him I think he could be a top 10-15 QB in the league in a few years.
I don't think any of the QB's in this years class will end up being considered one of the greats. If I had to choose I'd pick Bortles. That guy has made some impressive plays this preseason.
