Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo in 2013!!
This is probably my first time actually posting on Inforoo, so a quick introduction. My name is Sam. I live in Murfreesboro, work in Franklin as a Marketing Analyst, and this will be my first time at Roo. Coming along with me will be my younger brother Dakota (aka Koda). Yay! So excited to hear great music and meet everyone! I may have met a few of already, as Mike D has done an amazing job inviting me out in the last half year or so. I am 100% positive that I have never met such an awesome community of people. Glad that I get to join and super glad that everyone is so welcoming.
Since I am having what I am calling a Roo Prep Weekend, I just read this entire thread. There were a few things that I still was not sure about:
What will the VIP camp theme be? The Beatles? All things glowie?
Do we know our mini-groups yet? (I really like the idea of each group doing a sub-theme.)
Is there or will there be a camp flag? Do some of you bring your own personal flags?
And lastly, and most importantly, who else is as supercala anxious as I am for Roo?!
Its my first Roo and I am super duper anxious, a tad scared, happy, and ready for June to come already!!!

I'm packing a lot of different bands, but other than Saturday I don't plan on running around a lot. I'm hoping that camping for the Paul McCartney pit will give me additional energy for Friday night/Saturday. There's a great weekend coming up in 25 days.
Tejas, you really do a great job of spinning things, and not make it obvious that your spinning. An honest kudos to you man. For now, im going to believe mike was whacked to draw attention to you, and not that you're mafia and got rid of a major threat. But things may change as the weekend goes on. I'd like to hear from some other people here.

Thanks guys......I've got myself covered for the weekend but was still trying to grab two 2-day Passes for my parents. Big fans of Felice, Avetts, Jim James, and I thought they'd enjoy it.
So I'll pass on the Friday and Saturday passes (though I truly appreciate the offer). I need to update the line in my signature about what I'm looking for still.
But yea....if you can't find anybody on here that wants them I'll check back in closer to the festival
I have posted on here about how cancer has affected me, taking the lives of my dear grandma & grandpa and currently affecting my aunt & Bonnaroo friend Jessica. Jessica & her family have created a Relay for Life team, Team Jeja, that will walk this Friday night. I am honored to be walking with them. Here is our team page if any of you feel like donating towards our team goal.
I'm can't believe I just found this thread ((poor timing on my part)); but I'm happy to see Team Jeja exceeded their goal! I actually had a team of friends I was helping fundraise for the walk last night (17th) in the Raleigh area as well! I was swabbed to join the national bone marrow database at my first Bonnaroo in 2011 (through DKMS), but I didn't actually realize the importance of it until my (for lack of a better description) boyfriend was diagnosed with lymphoma last October & the search for a bone marrow donor for him began. Sadly, his fight ended a couple months ago, but the stories and people that we met along the way who had been able to keep fighting for their lives because of a bone marrow match they'd received from a random person in the national database were beyond inspiring. Does anyone know if Be The Match or Delete Blood Cancer (DKMS) will be at Bonnaroo 2013 to sign up potential donors??
So, I need to sell my ticket (Friday and Saturday) to the Newport Folk Festival, along with my parking passes for both days. Would I be better off doing it on EBay or Craigslist? I'm a bit nervous about Craigslist, but since I'm probably only going to sell it for what I paid for it, I don't really want to pay too many fees on EBay to sell it. Would the fees on EBay be really high? Thanks for your help. I was hoping to sell it before bonnaroo, so I can have the money for food and such. I've just never sold a music festival ticket before.
6/07: Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros (3 Rivers Arts Fest)
6/08: The Postal Service
6/12: Glen Hansard and Lisa Hannigan (3 Rivers Arts Fest)
6/19: Rancid and The Transplants
7/26-7/28: NEWPORT FOLK FESTIVAL!
Lollapalooza 07 / Bonnaroo 08,09,11,12 / FreeFest 09,10,11,12 / Made in America 12 / Newport Folk 13
Futurebirds (Sonic Stage) > Two Gallants > Tallest Man On Earth > Dirty Projectors > Bjork > Michael Winslow (Cinema Tent) > William Tyler > Mac Demarco
Sunday
Lee Fields and The Expressions > Action Bronson > Wild Nothing > Swans > The National > Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers
i still never understand why people dont come in on thursday. when i went in 2010, i saw some of my favorite shows that day, there was virtually no line at the water place and it was just an awesome time...

Good day Inforoosters There is a contest in my area for Bonnaroo 2013. The winner gets 2 Bonnaroo wristbands and $200 in spending money. This is pretty much my only chance at going this year due to funds being low. On top of that, I had a flat tire earlier in the week and I found out that I not only have to replace that one, but the others on my car as well which wont be cheap
All you have to do is "like" the Sherrill Pest Control page on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/sherrillpestcontrol) and write on their wall, "Referred by Jeffrey Sanders." The contest ends on Saturday, May 25th and the person with the most referrals wins the prize. Any help would be greatly appreciated
I liked them! I have a pretty big camelbak and only one tube so I didn't have a proper tablet to water ratio, but even very diluted it gave the water a nice flavored taste. Sorta like watered down Gatorade with a slight fizz. This year I'll be going with nuun tablets just to try something different.
I say film first, ask questions later. You could always put something together and then invite them to watch it after the fact and if they like what they see then perhaps they'd be willing to iron out legal details, marketing plans, etc. I'd love to be one of your filming subjects! Not sure what you're looking for but if I fit the bill then we can talk
I Like the way you think, Amber! Met up with me at the fest and we'll definitely talk about getting you in there
