I wouldn't cut my hair short before Roo if I were a gal. That is because that short hair is CRAZY! You can't put it up in a pony tail or whatever and it just looks like you have been electrocuted with the humidity.
Mine is pretty short and it always looks like I've just gotten out of the shower because of the sweat
whether I am cleaning/sterilizing instruments at work, slaving away over a research article critique for school, or washing the 15th load of laundry this week, I am smiling through it all because YAY!! I will be at roo in TWO WEEKS!!

Well, apparently I have celiac disease. Which would not normally be a YAY but 1) I'm sick of medical tests and 2) on the spectrum of things it coulda been, celiac is totally manageable and not so bad! I also don't have diabetes, which would make me one of the very few in my family who doesn't. Just wish I knew sooner. RIP Spicy Pie, hello hard cider and homemade bacon!
Everything Bonnaroo related, money related, housemates related, and roommates related (mostly) all fell together in the last two days. I'm totally more siked for this Roo over the last; and I went with a caravan... You guys are my caravan this year. and I likez it
My application for a transfer in my department was approved! I get to move to the regional studies branch of our African department. Less work in data validation and more Bayes and simulation. There's also a little less travel which is a bummer, but I should be published once or twice a year which is huge for me.
This always makes my day. When I bought my car this was in the sunglasses compartment and I don't think I'll ever take it out. My car is the Hoff.
Haha! The first car I bought had one of these little guys (below) in the glove box. I've stashed him in the glove box of each new car I've had since then, which is super impressive because one of the cars was stolen and he was the only thing left when I got it back
