I remember once I told my ex "Boy you look cute." She said "Only puppies are cute." Wasn't one of our better days but there were more good days than bad by a ratio of about a zillion to one ....
End of a long week, going to the record store. Biggest yay i could hope for right now.
Went with the intentions of building up the older side of my young vinyl collection, and then this album literally leapt into my arms. I couldn't just turn it away...

Really important show tonight. If I do well (aka draw a big crowd) I get a residency. Things have been really crap for me this past week or two so a good night would be killer!

I'm officially quitting consulting today. Drinks with my last client after work, compiling a list of things that'll get her through the transition, then I'm effin DONE. Working one full time job is gonna feel like heaven for a while. Never say never, but I hope to not have to consult again for a long, long, long time. I feel like I just got out of jail.

So, how did it go?!
Pretty alright I think. I haven't talked to the owner yet today, but the bartender was super stoked last night.
Just got home after a week long trip in Tennessee.
Cutting to the chase, I want to thank Abra and Dave for being such incredible hosts for a couple days. Especially Abra who really really really went out of her way to help me get back and forth to the Smoky Mountains for my backpacking trip. It was so awesome hanging out in Gatlinburg as well, seeing her friends win a battle of the bands. I also had no idea that Dave was so much "the man", but he is. A lot of respect. Its so inspiring to see people be so giving and they are a prime example of what makes this community so great.
I'm still somewhat in shock about how my entire trip went so smoothly when I pretty much just booked a ticket and showed up in TN without much of a plan besides going with the flow. I met some really cool people in Nashville and Gatlinburg as well - some of which might be coming to Roo with me this summer What an awesome trip.
Dave and Abra are amazing hosts. I crashed at their place on the way to Asheville once and Dave made me breakfast! <3 Eggs over easy and bacon practically burnt, how I like it.

It's been a rough few weeks. I've been slowly ebaying off my record collection and looking for a new job. I got in a minor scuffle Friday night and lost another tooth (yes, 2 fights, 2 lost teeth).
My YAY comes from the fact that my mom just informed me she was gonna "fund" my Roo trip this year. I really needed a yay on a Monday.

Awww.. GL, Sorry to hear about the teeth but sorrier to hear you are divesting some of your vinyl. Just make sure you don't part with the good shiz you'll regret.
YAY for getting roo goodies in the mail! Thank you sooo much for thinking of me, custeph! I adore it <3 AND I've already made my sister jealous with it, which is one of my favorite things to do.
