Someone at work gave me a pair of tickets to the Nashville Predators game tomorrow. It will be my first game! Anybody out there need/want a free ticket? I haven't been in Nashville long and the few people I do know either aren't into hockey or have other plans .
I was able to convince my family to switch up the summer vacation (instead of spending 5 days in Nebraska, we'll only spend 1 day there and then spend 3 in Iowa and 1 in IL) so I can go to the AmericanaRama concert in Peoria, IL on July 11. Yay!! This will be my 8th time seeing Bob Dylan, my 3rd time seeing Wilco, my 1st time seeing a full MMJ set (saw the very end of their set at Roo in 2008 and caught two songs in the middle of their set at Roo in 2011) and my first time seeing Robert Thompson. July is going to be awesome!
One of my favorite bands that has long since broken up (Hot Sauce Johnson) is postin' unreleased material on soundcloud! I hope they put up more. As of now there's one song I haven't heard, but I hope there's more to come as I've been waitin' over 10 years to hear some of this stuff!

I have some upcoming medical expenses that have been worrying the heck out of me. Not the procedure but the cost of it. Got the call that insurance has approved a large portion of it <exhale>! Also, the day before this call I won tickets to Wakarusa on the radio after entering my name in a box at a concert. I've never been to Waka, don't really have the money, and shouldn't spend the extra time away but I think it's all going to work out.

If I can sell my EDC ticket I'll be going to Waka! It'd be amazing to see you there.

I've never been a part of somebody's yay! before! I am HONORED. (And it has taken me all day to catch up on the Brunch, Chat and Yay threads). MAN this is hard work!
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

I'm moving into a new place over the weekend! Walking distance to bars, food, beaches, and parks! It's bigger AND cheaper! I was also told that I can take a low census on Monday, so now I have extra moving time!

Going to see Fleetwood Mac tonight! Yay!!! I get to knock off a whole bunch of, in Juggs' words, bloated, over-the-hill rockers from my "bands to see before I die" list this year, starting with the Mac and probably ending with Steely Dan.

There are NO words to describe my "yay" feeling right now. Only this:
Recap:
12:15 pm - text from friend "Rolling stones secret show tonight?" 12:30 pm - Rolling Stones tweet location of ticket sales 1:00 pm - After racing on freeway, I park and enter back of line for ticket lottery. I am one of the last to receive a lottery ticket. 1:45 pm - Lottery tickets are issued. I am ticket number 094. 2:00 pm - Lottery results announced via loudspeaker. The range of winners started with 094 2:45 pm - I gave goldenvoice twenty dollars. They gave me a wristband and the two items pictured above.

We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

I hope that everything goes well with your medical procedure, Abra!
