I too am headed to the Great American Beer fest this week. Anyone have any Midwest or West Coast breweries I absolutely have to try? I've had about 1% of all the breweries there so it's basically open season.
Socal: Bootleggers, Stone, Noble Ale Norcal: Lost Coast, Strike Brewing, does Lagunitas count?
Lagunitas is pretty prevelant I think across the country. And now the Heiniken owns half of it I'm sure it'll be everywhere.
I picked up a bunch of beer at the beginning of the summer, and a bunch more after Quack Club. But I been so busy, much of it has been sitting in a closet for months.
I need to get to work... or get friends over that actually like beer instead of Angry Orchard and Not Your Father's
They tell us "Rock'n'roll is the devil's music." Well, let's say we know that rock is the devil's music, and we know that it is, for sure … At least he fuckin' jams! If it's a choice between eternal Hell and good tunes, and eternal Heaven and New Kids on the fuckin' Block … I'm gonna be surfin' on the lake of fire, rockin' out.
I got some friends who are going to the Great International Beer Fest in Providence. I'm tempted to go, but assuming I ought to take the following day out of work after what likely ends up a shitshow.

Managed to track down a bottle of their French Toast Wake-N-Bake last year but was not impressed. Still got a bottle of their Maggie's Blackberry Cobbler in my closet. Had that one on draft and enjoyed it. Definitely gonna keep my eyes out fer this though.

The FRench toast was just meh, the White Chocolate was good though, Cinnamon Roll Wake and Bake was the bomb however.

Not Your Father's Root Beer is great but I also love regular root beer. That being said I can't imagine having more than like 1 and a half of those things. It's soooo sweet. It would make you feel terrible the next morning. I'd love to try the boozier options than what they're currently distributing.
Had the pleasure of meeting up with Dan'ROO this evening and exchanging a couple of bottles. I am very much looking forward to opening these up! Thank you! Very generous!

The pleasure was mine, good sir! Again many thanks!
Enjoying a Gizmo Aztec Gold imperial chocolate stout with some Premier League action this morning, courtesy of Dan'ROO . Delicious, but may make me completely useless until Sunday. LOL
Don't know if this has been mentioned and I overlooked it, but Dogfish Head's Miles Davis' Bitches Brew is back out. I highly recommend picking up a bottle if you get a chance. I'm a huge fan. It can be a little difficult to find.

I still haven't tried Bitches Brew, but I can't imagine it topping Beer Thousand, which might be the closest thing to a perfect beer that I've ever had.

It's been a great day for beer adventures. Torrance has some nice places. We hit up Angel City, Smog City and Absolution already. We decided to see about one more before heading back to Irvine and did a Google search to find Monkish. As expected, the specialize in Belgian beers and they're really good at them. Their dubbel, Shadowboxing, is amazing.

I was at a packie earlier, and was looking for something else. They didn't have it, but the guy shown me other stuff on a shelf. And then I seen Bitches Brew. Ended up getting that instead. Both cashiers were asking about it.
There's still one left over at Wines and More over on the Post Road.

I may have to run over there and grab it. I find that sometimes the other store accross the street in the shoprite plaza has a better beer selection.
