haha, i threw 3000 up in the air to startt it off at the end of their set and it really took off.. anyone have a good time at my expense? I actually heard some reached the stage which i found fascinating ;D
the biggest glowstick war i saw was at umph/bisco. it was awesome! definetly the biggest ive seen in the 3 years i have been to roo
yeah the umphreys glowstick war was badass...that show was just great...the way they ended with Floyd another brick in the wall/brain damage/eclipse was facking awsome!
Anybody have some great pics of the Radiohead glowstick war during House of Cards? I have 56k, so I can't wander into the main pic thread..
I haven't seen any yet.
I thought the glowstick wars were great. There might have been bigger ones throughout the weekend, but none of the ones that I saw, brought the WOW factor as much as the radiohead one. Seeing Thom playing with the crowd was amazing and completely unexpected. I thought the glowsticks made the show a really special one. That's just the opinion of one giant radiohead dork.

This was definitely one of my most memorable moments from Bonnaroo. My girlfriend and I were talking the other day about how beautiful it was. Thanks to you and everybody that participated.
as someone who was a doubter during the pre-roo radiohead glowstick war talks...let me just say...you guys were right, and i thought it was awesome. House of Cards was probably my least favorite new song before roo but where i was towards the front on johnny's side, the dancing glowsticks perrrfectly fit the song and i couldn't get HOC out of my head for the last 3 days...
that said, my big worry was getting beaned with a big glowstick (as opposed to ring) and exactly that happened to two of the people i was with...one dude ended up with a decent welt under his eye....still worth it though...kudos for choosing the perfect song....intentional or not.
i agree - that wasnt a new favorite of mine either - but there was something really f.ucking beautiful about the song, the people there, the good weather, the breeze, and the energy in the glowsticks as they flew through the darkness.
absolutely enhanced the set and my overall experience at roo.
