Hey, just curious, what was the parents-with-children 'roo experience like? I met some folks whose s16 year old son really wanted to come, but they did stuff that they didn't want him to find out (smoke, etc.) so they didn't let him.
My daughter is 14 and it was a great experience for her (although the heat really got to her and she stayed at the campsite most of Sunday). I took her to Big Cypress for Phish (she was 8) and she's been to many other shows so the "scene" is nothing new to her, she is also very mature. My boyfriend, his friends, and I do not however smoke or do anything I need to hide from her so that wasn't an issue.

this was my third year at 'roo, I'm 17 now and i've been going since i was 15. the first year it was just me and my dad. we stayed together the whole time, because it was our first time, and we had no idea what was going on. obviously i didn't do any smoking or anything
the second year my dad brought along a couple of his friends, but i still stuck around with him.
this year, i brought 4 friends with me, and i stayed with them most of the time, but i saw my dad all the time, since we camped with him
I like the idea on anklets too, but it'd be harder to see who has them on. It paints a funny picture of people sticking their legs out car windows for people to put the anklets on when they first arrive at roo.
The first year I went to bonnaroo my bracelet drove me nuts. Actually it just made my "trip" very annoying. I ate some party favors right after I got there and the entire trip I was convinced my bracelet was falling off my wrist. All I could think about was that I was gonna lose my bracelet before any of the music even started and I wouldn't get to see anything the whole weekend. Luckily things mellowed out after that but so much anxiety came from the stupid little bracelets haha.
Haha, I hate when that happens! When you're trying to enjoy youself when you're eating party favors and you fixate on one little annoyance the entire time. It ends up consuming and distracting you.
Ah I hate wristbands. I took mine off as soon as I got in the car. Then it becomes a little keepsake, but once the event is over off it goes. I don't know how you could still be wearing it!!!!!
I wish I could still have mine on, but couldn't because of work. I did however stake it out for about a week and a half after roo. We went to charlotte for a DMB concert the tuesday after roo and saw 7 or 8 people with 06 braclets and shirts on as well.
as other people said, I like wearin them because it's a great conversation starter. saw a guy at DMB last night in Scranton, PA that still had his on. ended up havin a 20 minute conversation with him about bonnaroo and partied and danced the night away with his group. I love bonnarooians, they're soo friendly.
I just realized I lost mine! It was on the dresser with all my other Bonnaroo stuff. Just last night I was going through the info guide, maps, etc but didn't realize the bracelet wasn't there. I will be seriously combing through my bedroom this weekend, I'd be so upset if I lose it for good!
Mine slides up about 3.5" from my wrist, so for formal functions (like my fscking court date today) a suit, long sleeve shirt, etc covers it up just fine. I have really thin wrists/forearms though. It's actually harder for me to keep in *in* view than out of view.
Some of the green stuff is coming off around the edges, but not as far as the bottom of "bonnaroo" (about 0.5-1.0mm). The part with the holes is getting torn up though, sparkly gel wise.

We took ours off after we got home on Monday. On Tuesday, I took the bracelets, along with our tickets, the schedule, and one of our CD's to Michael's to have them all framed. I can't wait to see it! It should be done within the week... orange background with a navy blue frame to match the tickets!
