DaFuck you doin', esteban? doors are at 9 and they'll play from 10 till midnite. go see them, dummy.
oh, yeah, I'd also like to add that they jammed the fuck out with a couple of the songs from Betty. like a straight extra minute of just pure "wtf is happening right now?"

Dart match. One dude I shoot with was telling me he is tight with one of their brothers who lives here and was at a party with them last night. Just Another Victim? Fuck. I jacked Judgement Night cd from my brother in law way back when. I used to always blast that shit. For anyone who doesn't know, that was the soundtrack to the movie. It was Emeillio Esteves and Cuba Gooding Jr. with Dennis Leary as the villain. It promotes racial unity and the soundtrack features rock/metal mixed with mostly harder rap. In Helmets case, it was with House of Pain.
/holy diver. I'm a survivor. Feeling like De Niro in Taxi Driver. With Jody Foster and Harvey Kitel...
I got there about halfway through the show. I think they must have played the set in reverse of Mobile and opened up with Betty. Even though I was chugging jack and 7s, I know all those songs and don't recall hearing any. It was a pretty docile crowd for a metal show, but I had to throw up the horns from time to time. Glad you fux talked me into going.
i saw allen stone and odesza this week. allen stone KILLED IT, as expected. that boy can saaang. i won tickets to odesza, so it was a fun free tuesday night. it was sold out, with underage bros and girls in actual bras and underwear. i thought i'd go to avoid a conflict in june, but it kind of made me want to see them again in the bonnaroo environment just to zone out a dance for a while.

Allen Stone was great both times I have seen him, would love for him to come back around these parts. Did he happen to say anything about some new material? Seeing Odesza next week can't wait.

he did play some new songs, or at least songs i haven't heard before. everything he does sounds great.

Great. Did he split the crowd and do the dance off bit. That is so much fun.

Saw The Main Squeeze last night. Such a great show. Their original material was a lot of fun to hear live, was really impressed by the lead singer and lead guitarist. The covers were amazing as well got Bulls on Parade by Rage and Touch the Sky by Kanye West. Ended up talking to the keyboardist after the show and he brought us backstage let us meet the rest of the band and get our poster signed. Great night will see them every chance I get.
Tauk at NOLA Brewery's 6th anniversary party. As expected, it was an excellent show. Gravity A did a full Talking Heads set. It exceeded expectations. I will see that again VIP at Buku but Foo said they probably were going to do a Gravity A set at Waka which is what I want at Waka. Talked to the bass player for Tauk on the way out, and he mentioned heading out to Aura.
Caught Fleetwood Mac in Charlotte last night. Lindsey Buckingham really carries the show IMO. I like how they have been opening with The Chain, sets the energy for the set. Best part was watching my mom jam out, hadn't seen her have that much fun in a long time.
I too caught Fleetwood Mac on Saturday in Charlotte. It was one of the best concert experiences of my life. The started with The Chain. They seemed to have a great time on the stage. It was so fun and great. I highly suggest seeing them if possible.
i saw will butler last night at a tiny place with a glitter ceiling with inflatable fish hanging from it. he was awesome, and the crowd was terrible. everyone was over 6 feet tall (annoying only to me, being up to everyone's spots), and could not SHUT THE FECK UP. i'm so glad i brought earplugs so i didn't have to actually hear everyone talking through the entire show. when he came back out for the encore, he said "do you guys want us to play one more song, or watch a episode of house of cards?" and after the last song, he went off on a spiel about "frank did that thing, then his wife did that other thing, then that dick cheney character..." it was pretty great. go see him!
I need to tell you guys about that fucking viet cong show last night when I have more than a hot second... because my god. it was so good.
Tell tell.
Modest Mouse last night was fanfuckingtastic. Played a solid two hours thennnn an almost 30 minute encore. My only issue with the show was the effing audience. So many people looked pissed to be there, or pissed whenever anyone encroached on their personal bubble or whatever, even during shit like Dashboard where, SORRY, but imma jump around and you can't stop me. Luckily my friend and I found a cool vibe area of the crowd where most people around us didn't have that kind of attitude - but I saw it in the surrounding areas a lot.
Coyotes was amazing live btw, one of the very best of the night.

Sylvan Esso was awesome. They sounded fantastic and the crowd was refreshingly great and everyone was dancing and they played a new song that is ok, but I have a feeling it won't translate on record well. My only complaint was that the whole show was only an hour long, with "encore." The encore was a very slowed down accapella version of the chorus of Hey Mami and that was it. When they came back out tho she was really cute about it, she was like "If you listen to us and paid attention during the set you know we played all of our songs. So that's it, that's all we've got. But I'll see what we can do for you."

Awwwww, she is such a cutie pants. I have a major crush on her. They didn't throw in any covers though? That's a little odd

Yea, I was expecting a cover at some point but it never happened. They did their entire album and a new song then the slow encore. And yea, the girl crush is strong. I couldn't take my eyes off Amelia the whole time. Which is saying something because Nick is so fucking hotttttt. My snapchat was spammed so hard with my Amelia Love.

Damn, wish I'd gotten to see those! Their DC show sold out so quickly and now resale is crazy expensive... just found out they're playing near my hometown in NC next month for TEN FUCKING DOLLARS, but I can't make it down that weekend :/ I'm telling my family and friends who live down there to get on it, though.

I saw one of the most surreal and psychedelic shows of my life last night... and I've seen some stuff, maaaan. It was a tribute to David Lynch (and, I guess by proxy, Angelo Badalamenti). It started off with a man sawing a log under a spotlight, and somehow only got more Lynchian from there on out.
It was awesome, though. Everybody was so on point. They did all the biggest songs from David Lynch's movies: Blue Velvet, In Heaven, In Dreams, the Twin Peaks theme, the Angelo Badalamenti scores, and so on. Featuring Mick Harvey (of the Bad Seeds), Cibo Matto, Sarah Blasko (I never hear Inforoo people talk about her, but she's gotten quite big over here), supplemented with a (particularly gorgeous) harp, violins, synths, saxophone, trumpet, flugelhorn, even a gong... the list goes on. I kinda wish I could see this one again.
First show started was about 90 minutes starting at 8:15 and wrapping up around 9:40. How late did the second show go until and did it start roughly on time with the complications of changing out the crowds?

The crowd wasnt an issue at all. Got right in, show started around 11:15. We got about 2 hours exactly. Done at 1:15.
