2. Bring a sleeping bag, not just a sheet. Everyone told me about how hot it would be during the day(which it was), but no one mentioned that it gets bloody cold at night in Tennessee.
I have to say that I wasn't expecting that either. It never gets that cold here at night in Memphis. In fact, sometimes it just gets muggier. The temperature goes down, but the humidity goes up.
We absolutely froze the first night. All we brought was a sheet and a very thin blanket. We ended up buying another paper thin blanket from one of the vendors the next morning.
I learned to always ALWAYS wear sunscreen... even if it's cloudy outside, you can and will still burn. Oh and a girl who wondered into our campsite learned to put sunscreen on before dosing up the hard way. She claimed to be "like 24% cherokee indian and didn't burn, but turned a deep shade of maroon" but she looked like a tylonol p.m. Good times.
