I was born in the back seat of a Yellow Cab in a hospital loading zone and with the meter still running. I emerged needing a shave and shouted 'Time Square, and step on it!

There must be quite a few six-fingered people out there. I thought that was just in The Princess Bride.
Nope, you can't forget Antonio Alfonseca!
No sh*t. Im a massive carrier of useless baseball knowledge and I never knew that. The concept kind of intrigues me. I played for over 15 years (through varsity), and if I can learn enough Sabermetrics Id love to become a scout. I really wonder if an extra finger could be used to a pitchers advantage pertaining to a circle change (mainly) or any other pitch. I dont even think Alfonseca throws a CC. Thanks for the useless knowledge, you get some Karma for that.

Yeah, that extra "nub" runs in his family. That's about the only photo you'll find that kind of clearly shows his sixth finger. Folks have always said the sixth finger does not affect his pitching, because it does not naturally touch the ball, and because he has very little control over the nub.
Edit: From Wikipedia: "He has six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot, a condition known as polydactyly; his extra small fingers next to his pinky have no influence on his pitching, as they don't touch the ball. The trait appears to be genetic – several family members have this trait, and they regard it with pride, as a kind of family emblem."
