Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
i heard maynard is out from behind the screen now a days. but i will be in my usual spot, dead center to the stage almost back to the vendors. no close up headliner views for me. id rather be able to dance around and make a dash for a good latenight spot.
The lineup has made where we would see our sould to be there and it looks like we will be there!!!! I was really bummed because I could not justify the money this year with house repairs and all - but we are gonna put a few things off and work overtime and if I have anything to do with it - we will be there - The Police AND Tool is what made MY decision - can't say about my husband's but I am gonna see Tool one way or another this summer
I too was thinking about hittin up a different festival this year until i sall the lineup.....The Police and Tool...hell yeah. I'll be at Roo for sure this year!!!!!!!! Can't wait to see what they give us next!!
the only thing that the lineup announcement has changed for me is my excitement level. i knew i was going no matter who would be playing, but this lineup is amazing. now i can't wait. i would like to see a few more bands added, but even if this were the complete lineup i'm there without a doubt and loving it!
After going to 'roo in '05, I wasn't sure if we'd ever go back. It was an okay experience, and we learned a lot (and figured out what to expect). But we were unprepared for the elements and other aspects of it all.
But after I saw this initial lineup, I know I am buying tickets next week. Tool, White Stripes, Franz Ferdinand, and Damien Rice are all on my "must-see" list. Plus there's many other great bands that I want to see too. And while I'm not a huge Sting/Police fan, it should be a great show! There's nothing in this initial lineup of music that turns me off.
I'm considering VIP tix for the convenience (free food, great parking, great seats, showers). Is there a tent area and a RV area? So long as my tent isn't next to an RV generator I'll be cool.
We treat mishaps like sinking ships and I know that I don't want to be out to drift Well I can see it in your eyes like I taste your lips and They both tell me that we're better than this

I know when I FIRST read it, i was like uhhhh maybe i'll wait til next year. But then once I started actually picking out artists I wanted to see, I got excited (plus you can't see every artist). And Once I download tracks from artists I've never listened to (see Tool and WP..yes two of the headliners lol) I'm sure it will be better!
The same thing happened to me...I soon realized I loved all the bands I was familiar with. I just wasn't familiar with the really small bands, The Police, and WSP (I just don't have any Police or WSP albums...I found out I actually enjoy them both after listening though)
Also, at first I wasn't sure of Tool headlining. I'm a big fan of Tool, don't get me wrong, but it seemed like they wouldn't quite fit in at bonnaroo (seeing as how they have a bit of a darker, heavier sound). I could imagine some highly altered hippies wandering in, not being familiar with Tool's music, and then being scared out of their wits...but I know I will definetly be enjoying their show.

I think Tool was a bad choice but hey thats the great thing about Roo, theres something for everyone. I will still check it out, I haven't seen Tool before and I used to be a big fan about 10 years ago.
Another thing is you do not have time to see all the bands, the lineup shouldnt matter, if you see a dozen bands you want to see then Bonnaroo is for you!

The RV's are in the top right of the photo and if i remember correctly that middl part stayed pretty clear.
The lineup is stellar, But I would have gone anyway. Not so sure how I feel about Tool, but there will be enough going on everywhere else that I doubt it will matter.

So as of February 13th, I was not going to Bonnaroo. I'm a busy guy, and I only have so many vacation days, and I just couldn't swing it every year.
But once I saw the initial lineup, I knew. I don't know that I'll ever be able to miss Bonnaroo. Despite the lack of vacation days, I'm going to take one day off on Friday and hightail it to Manchester from Chicago Thursday after work. We'll have to leave prior to the headliner on Sunday, which I won't love, but at least I'm going to be there, because I can deal with a couple of days of being exhausted when I get back, but I can't deal with the regret that missing the festival would bring for years to come.
What sealed the deal you might ask? Well, Bonnaroo itself did most of the work. The farm, the lights, the people, the freedom of Bonnaroo. But it sure didn't hurt that Wilco, the White Stripes, the Decemberists, the Police, Spoon, and the Flaming Lips were all part of the lineup. We're just getting started, and this is going to be a monumental Bonnaroo.
Included in the onslaught of tremendous acts are a number of acts I've never given the time of day. I'm really looking forward to the next few months of getting to know bands like Tool, Clutch, Ziggy Marley, Junior Brown, and others.
So yes...the initial lineup changed my mind, but only in the sense that it brought back memories of everything I love about Bonnaroo, and I'm now going to act on the impulse initiated by those memories and return to Manchester in June.
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!
im pretty psyched. the more and more i look at it the more excited i get. its gonna be awesome. its cool cause it has a little for everyone too. great late night possibilities. im just really hoping for some moe. duo and mmj. oysterhead if trey is not in the process of getting healthy.
