This happen to anyone else's feet? Im sure i didnt walk anymore than the next person but for some reason my feet ballooned up. Usually you can see my ankles and the veins in my feet but those were gone after the second day.
both of my big toes are still numb. and the soreness from the muscles in my legs that ive never used before is finally gone. i think i made it out alright this year.

by sunday my left foot was killing me right above my arch. i think it had to do with too much flipflop wearing *shrug* as soon as i got home and wore my chuck taylors for a day it went away.

My poor boyfriend had huge purple bruises and blisters ALL OVER his feet. He wore good shoes too! Crocs and sneakers the whole time. The poor thing had to put his feet on a pillow on the ride home because he couldn't stand shoes.
I had a little swelling, but virtually no trouble...odd, because I wore crocs too. No idea.
My feet were pretty swollen all weekend. Luckily I didn't have to drive home, so I kept them elevated for part of the trip to reduce the swelling. I also have a nasty cut on my foot from the Friday where my sandal rubbed too hard. I wasn't able to keep it totally clean all weekend and it's still a little too pink. Oh, well.

I had that happen my first year at Roo in 2006. My feet and ankles were huge! The got so bad I could hardly fit into my sandals. When I could I kept my feet elevated and it went down in a few days.
I think it came down to a lot of walking (we were camped WAY out there) and I didn't have good shoes - Birk sandals which have always been great just didn't cut it at Roo for me. I also think I didn't drink as much water as I needed to in that heat.
Last year I wore Crocs and was fine and this year I wore Keens and Crocs and was fine again.

Wow, that swelling looks painful! I have only blisters by my big toes from flips, and blisters on the inside arch from crocs. They are all healing now and itching like crazy!

My feet felt fine all weekend(Thank you Sanuk's!!) but on the drive home I noticed huge red splotches on my right foot. By Monday night my foot was super swollen and I could barely walk on it. I took a hot shower and then ACE bandaged it up and after 3 days it's feeling much better and the swelling went away. I think it might have been a bug bite or something, no blister though!!! SANUKS RULE!!!

My first year, I literally had a blister on top of a blister from all the walking. I got an awesome tip from Mom before the following Roo: spray-can deodorant, preferably antiperspirant. Put it on your feet when you start your day and it should at least prevent those.
I'm usually wearing a not-too-breathable pair of Vans the whole time, and I haven't had any blister problems since I got that tip.
Both of my big toes were swollen, but it is down now. I did tear something in my knee 2 weeks before roo, and could not find my brace for most of the weekend so that pain is my fault!

I forgot my shoes this year (of all the things to forget...) and I had to wear my flip flops the whole time. Eventually, I had to goto Walmart and buy a pair of shoes. Even with the flip flops off, it felt like I was still wearing them because my feet were so messed up from them. My feet were destroyed this year...

My feet were excellent the whole time, usually they hurt real bad even with switching between sandals and sneakers. I got these adidas flip flops with the squishy bottom. Best shoes ever.

Ill have to try those next time, i had regular leather flip flops the first 2 days, they swelled up then i went to tennis shoes and those were drenched then i went to skateboard like shoes and my feet were pouring out of them due to the size of the swell, they were the most comfy but i was already screwed so im not sure if they worked all that great
I fucked up my heel so bad i couldn't walk on my right foot, and i pulled my hamstring on my left leg so walking was a bitch for the second half of the festival.

Wore crocs the entire time and had one small sore on the inside of my left foot, but feet were in otherwise great shape. Just put a bit of gold bond in the crocs and on my feet every once in a while, and cleaned them with baby wipes before bed.
I guess in retrospect I was a bit lucky since I didn't bring any other shoe options, but I've never had issues with them in the past.

thats gotta suck
That it does...and they just called and want to cut me open...boo...but i think will hold off.
i had some nasty blisters but that was about it. but my back is a whole different story...i decided to stand at This Tent from Superdrag to the end of Vampire Weekend, and it was messed up. i figured out that no one was willing to sit down around me and was stuck till the end. i learned my lesson fo sho.
