i love ground scoring!! i never brought anything that wasnt permanently attached to my body to centeroo at night because i knew that it would go missing. this included shoes. i would just walk around the what stage and pick up a pair of mismatched abandoned shoes and wear them around for awhile.
i did find some bubbles that lead to hours of entertainment for me and everyone around me.

We groundscored one of the MIA horns right after the show, and later on in the weekend we also found this sweet drum made out of a coffee can with a piece of twine strung through it. There was a serious jam session at our camp on Sunday night.
"seriously, your dumb enuff to lose something like that, you dont deserve to have it...."
sorry, but thats terrible logic and cold-hearted.
(i dont know how to do that reply box thingy so if someone could enlighten me that would be great.)
i agree... you have to put yourself in the persons shoes who lost it. they might have just gone for another beer or a piss, and that bitch stole the backpack?! fuck that man... that's some bullshit.

I found a little nicely rolled bit of corn at Ben Folds and put it in my pocket. A little while later, I saw a couple of dudes looking all over the ground for something so I said "Hey, did you drop a j?" The guy says no, we dropped a phone. I said "well ok because I found a j but not a phone" so he says "oh, well, we might have dropped one of those too..." so I gave it to him and made his day.

we found some "party favors" in staggering amounts, camping stuff left over on monday, a $1 chillin on the ground in centeroo, and some other cool stuff
We were tossing out yellow smiley face beach balls during the MMJ show and one of them landed next to me at Kanye like 30 hours later on the other side of Centeroo...with a friendly message of peace.

I didn't find anything for myself this year, but my roommate found a camping grill, and a fold up chair, my girlfriend found a pair of flip flops. There was also this guy that was looking for some no no's coming out of pearl jam, and when I told him I didn't have any to get rid of he said:
"man I just found a back pack out in the field with about a grand in it.... in fact do you mind if you shine your headlamp over here so I can't start counting it?... 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600 *stops counting because there is too much*..... quack man, there is a poopton of money here. Here take 5, it's Bonnaroo, and I'm going on a quacking shopping spree!!"
After that, I kept my eyes on the ground for abandoned backpacks....
Hey Shag, you remember 2 years ago late night saturday when you were out of your head and left your camelbak with all of your stuff in it on the ground in centeroo, and after about 30 mins of walking around we went back to look for it, and some stranger was sitting next to it waiting for you to come back for it? I remember that.
During show I found: nice prepackaged corn that was enjoyed hefty baggie of snow which made for a good trade with the heat sweet white cowboy hat in the trash nice big khaki messanger bag in the trash little bag of corn, that smelled amazing
Also found a buge backpack after some show, had some cell phones, camera, credit cards in it. Called the last number on one of the phones and tried to explain the situation and the reponse was "Well she's not my friend but I guess I'll try to find her and tell her". I handed it into Lost and Found....hope she got it.

Yeah I remember that. Definitely one of my scariest Roo moments. That dude was really cool too. I had been gone for like half an hour and when I came back to my pack (still don't have any idea how I found it) the guy was like "I was wondering when you were gonna be back. I've been keeping an eye on it for you." After I thanked him and picked up my pack, he got up and left. It was almost like he had been waiting there just for me to come back for my pack. Really nice guy.

I found some guys wallet full of Credit cards etc... it was Thurs night at "The Sword" and I didn't feel like finding lost and found but was able to get it back to him on Friday.
Found a nice Canon electronic timer
Found a nice watchamacallit (CD Wallet)full of about 50 differnet CDs. Most of which I didn't like.
My best score was on Tuesday, long after everyone except staff were gone. I was still working. Was driving through the ruins of Centeroo and scored 25, 5 gallon buckets with lids. Maybe this doesn't sound so good but everyone wants a couple of buckets for gardening or watering plants or whatever.
Oh, also in Centeroo ruins picked up a box with about 50 XBOX Frisbees.
If you want to hear about the REALLY good groundscores, talk to the Clean Vibes people who work post-fest.

on Thursday, found a cell phone on the ground next to a misting tent near pod 6, picked it up and it rang... it was the guy's buddy who was still on the road heading for roo, he called another one of that guy's friends, got the owner on 3-way and 5 minutes later I was able to hand the guy his phone back. I thought that was a great start to the weekend.
Also, on Friday, got to the brunch and realized I had forgotten to put a memory card in my camera, and since my main goal for the brunch was to get pictures for the folks playing along at home, I walked all the way back to camp Boba Fett to get it, and on the way back found a fresh bag of corn on the ground (real life karma!). Had fun sharing some of it with people at the brunch.
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."

My gf found the ultimate ground score, a $100 bill.
i found this 2 days after my 21st bday... i was headed to downtown ATL to see P-Groove, and going up the escalator in the train station i noticed some green on the floor... and it was a benjamin baby

I wasn't on my ground scoring A-game during Bonnaroo. I did pick up a glow stick when I was tripping, though.
By tripping you mean, tripping over one of the stakes holding up the Brooers tent? Damn those things were a beotch. I tripped over one on Friday night.
"We're no longer called Sonic Death Monkey. We're on the verge of becoming Kathleen Turner Overdrive, but just for tonight, we are Barry Jive and his Uptown Five. "

No, actually tripping over all those unpleasant, loose stones and pebbles on the roads outside of Centeroo. How does Superfly expect people to emulate hippies if they can't even comfortably walk around the grounds barefoot?
The Roo Gods blessed me this year. I found a $20 bill on friday night after throwing a couple hundred glowsticks into the tiesto crowd - It bought me a delicious Sweetwater beer that helped me control all the colors..... Than Saturday people kept leaving freebies at my campsite - I suppose cuz I was on the corner of the two streets. A BIG bag of corn, 2 bonnaroo shirts, a nice glass piece, and someone's wallet which i took to lost and found. Now im sad cuz all this made me think about Rothbury

i had maybe the best bang for my buck on the ground scores: we bought a shitton of glowstick bracelets and left the connectors at home. coming out of MSTRKRFT we ground scored more connectors than we had glowsticks. schwing!
I found a beautiful purple/green/blue tyedye sarong on the ground behind Other tent. I put it in my backpack with some of it hanging out as I walked around but no one claimed it.
