I was at those shows - I was a senior in high school and managed to schedule some college visits out in S.F. right at the same time as those shows. Three of the best nights of my life.
Dang... it sounds like all of those trumped last years superjam.
I wish I could have seen the Led Zep one.
Thanks for the info!

ah...the 07 superjam...actually i only caught about 10 minutes of it - they were playing "superstition" - i say "ah" because well i don't know why
the only two bad things about that superjam were that it was in the other tent and it was up against the last string cheese incident show i've ever seen, it was way too packed - i heard from a lot of people that they thought it should've been on which stage, probably should've been
the crazy thing is, if i remember correctly, they only played like 7 or 8 songs but they made it last like 2 hours, "dazed and confused" lasted i think 29 minutes

SuperJam 2008 wasn't always listed on the lineup. It is now, but last year, it wasn't. I don't have proof to confirm this, but trust me, it wasn't always there.

I searched and did not see any mention of it so what about a "Dark was the Nigh" superjam show? They are doing a show like that in NYC and a lot of those artists will be at Bonnaroo!
except for Antony which really really really blows loads.

i think the first official word on the superjam was when they put the schedule out

It was actually closer to 1.5 hours in total. One of the bigger complaints I remember hearing after the show from the crowd was "wtf why aren't they coming back on the stage??" It was a relatively short show compared to what I guess people were expecting... but I didn't mind cause it gave me time to catch STS9 afterwards instead

^^Can't argue anything you said right there. The sound definitely was not on par for the show, but it got better 2 or 3 songs in... still not the best though.
STS9 was definitely the more fun show for me as well though. The superjam was more of a nostalgia satisfaction for me, seeing JPJ just 30ish feet infront of me rockin the bass
I don't have the LiveBonnaroo copy... but I do have a pretty quality recording if you'd like
I might take you up on that...we'll see. I'm just bummed that I lost a ton of LiveBonnaroo stuff when my HD went down. Most of the other stuff I can recover, but this isn't easy to find unless I re-purchase all of it (which would be quite costly).
my computer crashed for like the fifth time a couple months back - left me extremely pissed cause i lost a bunch of stuff too including my morning jacket from last year which i haven't listened to since it crashed - to make things worse my 80 gig ipod is dead, no warranty, but its been longer than a year anyways, so warranty or no warranty it wouldn't matter - now i just listen to cd's and i'll get buy - it just sucks - and all the time i spent building up my library on my ipod - something like a year and a half - my ipod was only half full but i still had somewhere around 4400 songs

Not necessarily for this year, but I've been thinking...maybe next year or possibly for the 10th Anniversary Bonnaroo, they could do a Bonnaroo All-Stars Superjam. A group of musicians that have played at Bonnaroo a lot over the years...
something like:
Warren Haynes Les Claypool Jim James Bela Fleck Mike Gordon Robert Randolph John Medeski Michael Kang

With all the talent on the farm last year, I think it's 100% impossible that this years SuperJam can be any worse than last years. Bring on the SuperJam

Not that I think this is going to happen but I wouldn't rule out something soul themed. Particularly something like the Funkier Edith, Erykah Badu's side project with ?uest from the Roots. The only problem would be Doyle Bramhall II (on tour with Clapton) and I'm sure they could find someone the sub for him.
