not sure it's an amazing deal, but i like the 4 way ventilation. i have an EMS 4 person dome right now, and it's dry as a bone - but the thing is HOT - ventilation is exceedingly minimal with the rain fly. im willing to risk a little water to stay cooler...

Amazon is having a camping sale right now. I think it's $20 a $100 purchase of coleman stuff. I want one of those metal coolers! They keep stuff cold for days.

this tent looks nice and cool. i like the idea of putting it under an ez-up to help keep it dry. we have the coleman sleepy owl which is sort of like this one but with two way vent not four. this one definitely looks like it would be WAY cooler. having it butted up against the ez up seemed ok but when the rain came it was sort of a pain, too much water falling on the tent and splashing everywhere although the tent stayed dry. pretty sure we are getting another ezup to prevent this. i just hope water doesnt come splashing down between the two ez ups.
I just got these (the dark blue ones) and my god, they are comfortable. If you are looking for some cool festie pants and don't like the idea of wearing a skirt or sarong, this is basically the same thing but more like pants. And they are super cheap. I'm getting more pairs for sure! haha

They don't come any shorter than the ones I got, but I'm short, the average person probably wouldn't drag them. If they are dragging, however, you can tie the leg flaps together at the ankle or above the calf and have like pirate shorts.
dont they drag in the dirt/mud though? or can you get them in slightly shorter lengths?
These are actually extremely easy to make if you have any sewing skills at all (or just have access to a sewing machine even if you've never sewn before). I have a couple pairs including ones that are knee length. I wear them all the time. Here's a tutorial craftytutorials.blogspot.com/2008/01/how-to-make-and-wear-wrap-pants.html

Sweet!!!! Thanks. I have some extra material, gonna try to make a pair. Thanks for the pattern.

Wow, that things a monster. 15' x 15' You're gonna have to a serious land grab or end up in tent only with that beast. Although you could probably share shade with a neighbor

right on..yeah, myself and my buddy are going to be camping by our vehicles so i'm hoping this monster will fit in two spots..he'll be in his van (has a bed in it) and i'll be tentin' it..plus the neighbors are always welcome to chill in the shade and grab a piece of the real estate if they want..just don't get upset if it crosses over the mason dixon into your space..first time bonnaroo'er..we'll be the camp with the rooster flag.."Camp Bonnarooster"..
you can find some really good deals on here..new deals can be found daily..i ordered these earlier in the week (2 for 1.99+SH/ 7.98 total) and just got 'em today..i tried 'em out and they're pretty cool..they aren't Maglite or anything, but they do the trick and the price was insane:
Can anyone tell me what size canopy would be good for bonnaroo? I plan on backing my truck up to the canopy and having a tent as well. Also, does anybody know where I can a canopy for cheap?
10x10 (or similar) is the standard canopy most everyone uses. It helps to buy a cheap tarp to extend the shade area for your tent.
Now is the time to start looking for sales on EZ-up canopies. Check the Sunday paper, camping stores, Tractor Supply and Dollar stores. And look on ebay. You should easily find one for under $100 and I got mine for $40 a few years ago.

Rose's has EZ-Up 10x10 shelters for $50. They are in crazy bright colors and have no brand markings on the package because Rose's sells a lot of stuff with marked out labels, but according to a manager and a sale flier they are ez-up brand. I did a quick trial run setting it up (by myself, did not read instructions) and had no trouble!
I've fallen in love with Craigslist again. I used to be in love with Ebay (and somewhat am) but now that I've found TWO canopies for $25/each on Craigslist, I'm super ecstatic.
search craigslist, guys. don't forget some people call them screen tents, gazebos, or canopies. and dont ignore the moving sale ads. Thats where I found 1 for $25 (heck, it was listed as a 10 ft tent but I emailed and it was a 13 ft hexagonal canopy/gazebo! haha! sweet!)
There have been a lot of CamelBaks listed on steepandcheap in the past week or two. All different kinds and one's for guys and girls. Definitely worth keeping an eye out for.

On tuesday I went to Dickssporting goods and bought a new canopy. (since ours from last year did not make it through the storm). For 49.99$ I got a Quest accordian style canopy. Its only 6'x6' but that is perfect for us. So hit up your local dick/s people!!
