Pretty simple, What is the best cover of a song you have ever heard?Besides All Along the Watchtower by Hendrix, I really really like Galactic and Les claypool's version of Big Bottom by Spinal Tap! Whats your Fav, please leave links if you got them!!
One of my faves (on pure "had to be there") was the Rod y Gab cover of "Wish You Were Here" at Roo '07. What an amazing vibe there was during that song. I'm sure there's a YouTube video somewhere (that probably doesn't do it justice.)

has anyone heard Mason Jennings cover of "Lonesome death of hattie carrol" its in the movie I'm not there. Also probably one of My fav covers is from DAVE & TIM Live at Radio City Music Hall, when they cover Down by the River
Neil Young's version of A Day In The Life is the best cover I've ever seen in person. I don't think I could pick out a recorded cover that I'd call my favourite. There's just too many.
I love Florence and the Machine's cover of Beirut's Postcards from Italy. I had chills run up and down my spine while listening to it. She has an amazing powerful voice.
