LMAO - Bet it was the same Taco Hell also - I am not sure but it seems like the food there is just not as good as it used to be. My Nachos Bell Grande pretty much sucked

Ur sceptical that a man can "rattle the pots and pans" and like it?
Oh no, not at all! It's quite refreshing to see a man popping in to this thread so frequently - even when he's under the weather. It makes me happy that some men love to be in the kitchen...kudos to you for being one of them!

thanks for that...and errr I started the thread!! Done some time in culinary school and the "back of the house", love the heat, energy and instant gratification.
Here's the kicker,,,still got the sinus infection (we got a brutal strain here in c'bus). Had three days off in a row and spent it on the couch this weekend...grrr.
In the middle of my misery, my ex knocks on the door. She went to the Cheryls Cookies annual sale (Saturday morning at 6am) and bought almost 100 lbs of cookie dough and wanted to use my freezer!
So tonight instead of cooking I food saved 3 17.5lb boxes (525 cookies) so they won't burn in my freezer that opens and shuts alot...grrr!!!

Tonight I had some supreme pizza from the mall which is great.
Sunday I went to central market (our gourmet grocery store) with no general ideas and I ended up buying and grilling rainbow trout, salmon, asparagus, squash, zuchini, potatoes and sirloin steaks. My friend hadnt been over to my sunday grillouts before and thought the sirloin was one of his top 5 steaks ever. Next time I will buy some ribeyes. The fish was even better though. I am devastatingly awesome on a grill. I was gonna make some peanut butter nutella brownies, but central market was out of nutella.
I will probably make banana bread for the inforoo brunch.
Boz threw a pot roast in the crock pot this morning and when I got home, I shredded it and made a cheese sauce and we had it on onion rolls with tater tots
I almost hate to admit this, but I'm looking forward to a Central Market visit in Austin next week almost as much as I'm looking forward to SXSW! I went to the one in Dallas last summer, too, and bought a case of the roasted Hatch green chiles...and a bunch of Hatch green products as well. Heaven.
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**

Well this isn't for dinner but I just made my very first cake and icing from scratch (and made a HUGE mess in the process)! It's a chocolate cake with vanilla latte buttercream icing and it's yummy....but REALLY rich.
I like to make quesadillas very similar to that with MorningStar's Chik'n strips, Boca's Spicy Chik'n strips, or Light Life's Chik'n fajita strips. Mmmm, mmmm. I think I know what I'm having for dinner this evening.
