You really can't go wrong with Captain Anderson's but that Salt Water Grill place looks quite awesome. I might have to come with you and we can sample all three?
I've read a lot of good things about Captain Anderson's, so that's the way I'm leaning now, but the Saltwater Grill looks kinda fancy and nice.... oh, decisions!
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

Trying an experiment hopefully it's edible. Making a standard Potato Soup recipe (for 4 people) with 1 roasted red pepper, 1 head of roasted garlic and shallots thrown in the mix. Serving it with warm french bread and crumbled fried pancetta on the side to sprinkle into the soup.
I hope this works because there is going to be ALLOT of it.

I'm having a hard time deciding what to order since it all looks good. Any suggestions?
I love that place. Since Rainwater's closed (I have family members who owned it, so I am biased), the Goat is my favorite restaurant in SD. When I was there, I had the duck fat truffle fries - highly recommend - and the quail. They change the menu a lot so I don't remember if the one I had is the same as the one on the current menu, but it was fantastic. Someone else had the ribeye and said it was great. The waiter recommended the mac n cheese, but everyone thinks they have a special, fancy mac n cheese so I passed. I mean, come on, duck fat truffle fries!

Have a blast!
Nice! This place is dangerously close to my apartment. I've been here once before and had the ribeye with the duck fat truffle fries. It was heavenly, one of the best things I've ever eaten... so I'm having a hard time deciding if I should just get it again or try something new.
Marrow is one of the most important food groups, along with things fried in duck fat, things wrapped in bacon, foie gras, shellfish/bivalves and bourbon.

You weren't kidding, it was really tasty! The waiter said it was essentially "meat butter" lol. How can you not like that?
