I am thinking Beasties Thursday, Zep 8-1>Phish 2-6 Friday, Bruce 8-12>NIN> 1-3 Saturday, and Phish 8-4 to close it out on Sunday. Really I think this was the plan since the letdown last year.
You MUST be joking. Are you really thinking Zep is going to be there? Man you are out of your mind. It will NEVER happen. Every year someone throws this foolish notion out there... get it threw your thick skulls ZEP IS FINISHED. Plant has zero interest in reuniting again and even if he did I do not see "roo as the place they would do it. MSG would likely be the spot IMO.

No matter the fact that LZ’s manager has said it’s never going to happen. No matter the fact that we've already got FOUR headliners. No matter the fact that Phish is playing twice. No matter the fact that there are already FIVE headlining sets for a four day festival. Something else "HUGE" is always about to happen. Greedy, ungrateful, unappeasable brats.
I don't care what you say about me, just spell my name right---P.T. Barnum "As I was walking up the stairs I met a man who wasn't there He wasn't there again today I wish to God he'd go away."
Is it true the Black Knight will be an unannounced guest with you?
While it is true that he will be making a special guest appearence, he will be unable to play due to his lack of limbs. Those in the pit may want to wear ponchos, he might bleed on you.

Well if they are still working on it, they know they can not let anything leak like last year because of all the disappointment. Also when I saw the original Plant and Page reunion back in High School they played darn close to four hour set. Really tough with this extra slot it makes sense I am sure they are working on something big for it. The idea also gets me excited about what Mule would do as wel.
ok first off Plant and Page DID NOT play anywhere near 4 hrs long back in '95. I'd seen them as well and have 3 or 4 live shows from that tour and I'm saying maybe 2.5 max. I have not actually checked the shows I have but I know it was nowhere near 4 hrs. typical setlist from that tour
Thank You, Bring It On Home, Ramble On, Shake My Tree, Lullaby, No Quarter, Gallows Pole, Hurdy Gurdy Solo > Nobody's Fault But Mine, Hey Hey What Can I Do, The Song Remains The Same, Since I've Been Loving You, Friends, Calling To You > Down By The Seaside > Break On Through > Dazed and Confused, Four Sticks, In The Evening, Black Dog, Kashmir
WHAT EXTRA SLOT ??? Why do people think there is room for another big act? There is not and if they try to squeeze someone in IMO that will actually make 'roo less desirable to me the conflicts would then be off the chain and people would end up missing 2-3 big acts in which they were really psyched for.

I don't think Kings of Leon are big enough in the US to headline Bonnaroo either, but they are definitely bigger than My Morning Jacket. They sold out the Agganis Arena (7200 seats) in about 2 minutes for their Sunday date, and I think their Saturday date that got added might be sold out as well. They also sold out MSG. MMJ didn't sell out the Boston Pavilion (5000 seats) at all last summer, and I'm pretty sure they didn't sell out MSG on NYE when they played.
If they did get added as part of a Friday night KOL->Beasties->Phish, I certainly would not complain one bit. And I was also pretty shocked to not see them on the initial lineup. However, I don't think they will be an add, but we'll see.
Perhaps the other headliner people are waiting for isn't music........but a headline comedian? That will do a set between Beasties and Phish on Friday on What stage?
This makes sense!!! Chris Rock went over well last year! It was fun, and a good chance to take a short break and still be entertained! Get ready for the night and all! I bet this is it!

Well in all fairness the Memphis show had an extended blues set. I believe they came on at 8-8:30 and played until past midnight but it was a long time ago. I agree there will not be headliner added, but if there is I think Zep is just as likely as anyone.
^^^I HEARD them walking to centeroo in 07---nothing too exciting
yeah...I'm pretty lukewarm about their music. Take them or leave them, but in 07, they were without a shadow of a doubt the worst band I saw. I felt like falling asleep, and looking back on it, I probably should have.

well obviously, i've heard hes damn good as a back up vocalist though.

I like this idea. Seems to make sense too considering they haven't announced any comedians yet.
The ultimate comedian at Bonnaroo would be Dave Chappelle in my opinion, but I don't think they'll be able to get him as he's pretty picky about stuff he's involved in now. They may be trying to get him, and that may actually be the hold-up.
I'm thinking we may very well see Robin Williams on the main stage between the Beasties and Phish. He's on tour and would be pretty damn hilarious. Plus, he'd the kind of name that can compare to Chris Rock.

I did too but I think the lineup is stacked enough as the way it is on Friday...they have waaaayyyy too much going on that day. Tried to create a schedule that would provide least amount of conflict but couldn't do it. Almost impossible.
I think Greatful Dead are gonna be Rothburys this year. Next year tho for sure if they have a good time on this tour. With Obama in there they might just keep on touring for a couple years on and off. Allman Brothers are a complete possibility considering everything we know, but of all the bands yet to be added (except maybe Sonic Youth) you would think they would be on the initial. Led Zeppelin will never happen. Plant and Krausse will prolly play Roo next year since they are working on a new record already and it wont happen then. or 2011. or 2012. I'd love to see the Electric Light Orchestra at Roo to but that isnt ever going to happen. Why not hope for some realistic AWESOME headliners with all this LED ZEP energy like The Who, Paul McCartney, Foo Fighters, Eagles (not a fan but whatever), Stevie Wonder, Pavement, Jesus and Mary Chain, even Arcade Fire.
i would love mccartney or stevie wonder. while we're throwing out zeppelin why not even mention pink floyd? probably just as likely.
I really don't know how it's gonna pan out but the only thing I can't wrap my head around in this day and age of bonnaroo is every other stage shutting down for the beasties
That's right, Bonnaroo sold out, the headliner isn't totally crunchy and heady brah. But by all means, let's keep making snide comments about it.
artists who have played bonnaroo and not headlined:
bob dylan the allman brothers james brown jack johnson my morning jacket beck david byrne
others
did i say the beasties are not a noteworthy act? No. But this year there are 2 nights of phish who, I'm sorry if they're "crunchy and heady brah" but they dwarf the beasties in popularity.Springsteen is obviously a big deal as well. With this kind of a draw they have to weigh their options. All I'm saying
^^^ I know what you mean, my DVD is still "on the way" to me and I ordered it about 30 seconds into 1st tier last year, definitely wary of delivery promises and guarantees
you still waiting on your dvd?? damn... I got mine like 3 weeks ago. that sucks man.

okay...we got that...now who do you suggest to take the headlining spot out of all the clusterf.ck we have on friday? just curious....
