Maybe it's a clue. lets see this morning was really cold, Sunday afternoon was warm. How do you turn cold into warm? wear a jacket. I prefer my... My Morning Jacket!!!!
MMJ is not touring this year (confirmed by their drummer). I don't know if that precludes a stop at 'Roo, but I'm not hopeful.
it's been known they are taking a break........but rumors are that Jim James wants to do some solo dates/festivals so there's hope that he could be on the farm
Judging from the discussions over on the MMJ forum, I wouldn't agree that it's been "known" they aren't touring. Maybe it's wishful thinking on their collective parts, but those are some die hard fans who've followed the band for years and many of them were expecting NA tour dates and a possible reschedule of some European dates.
However, it would please me to no end...I saw them 11 times last year. I'm not counting on it, though, as Jim is still on the mend from the accident last fall.

You're probably right.......I just remember reading a lot of stuff about how they were tired from touring heavily the past few years and were going to rest this summer and not play many festivals........but that Jim James still wanted to go and do some solo stuff.
I could be wrong, and would LOVE MMJ at roo again......but only time will tell
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver
Monsters of Folk add would make this the BEST festival ever. I'm missing some "must-see" bands this year; last year had Rilo Kiley, Vampire Weekend, Iron & Wine, Gogol Bordello, Mason Jennings for me. This year as I look down the list, I can't seem to find any "must sees" except for Animal Collective.
With that being said, M. Ward, Jim James, and Conor Oberst are ALL "must sees" for me, so getting them there together would not only make one of the sweetest collaboration sets ever, but also 3 great individual sets. In fact, I don't know why 'Roo didn't book at least two of those three in the first place (M. Ward and Conor both catering to the Indie/Folk/Rock crowd with new CDs out).

when do they usually release the additions... I thought it was on Wednesday. But maybe that twitter just means that there will be a release from Roo on Sunday... because of Rothbury's release today...
or its a clue about rewinding or turning back time
2/5- Papadosio 3/3- MUSE 3/12- John Mayer 3/19- The Werks 3/31- Passion Pit 4/18- Ben Folds 4/20- Against Me! 6/10- Bonnaroo 6/30- Eric Clapton and Roger Daltrey
u should check out Okkervil River if u like all of them. And Jenny Lewis from Rilo Kiley is there. Band of Horses is kinda in that vein as well.
Oh don't worry, I know and like all three of those groups. Jenny Lewis is probably one of my highest "must sees" for this year, but she would be a little higher if I didn't already catch her with Rilo Kiley last year. I'm excited to see the other two as well, but I've never really found myself extremely into their music. But by the time summer comes, I know I'll be digging their stuff a lot more.

K2, Jenny's solo set's are way different then her stuff with Rilo Kiley, I think. She would probably perform some stuff off Acid Tongue, maybe some covers, stuff like that.

I figure that. Heck, I'm really excited to see Jonathon Rice with her as he's been a staple on her tours (maybe a Sonic Stage set himself?). And if Elvis Costello popped his head out for Carpetbaggers... amazing! I'm just saying I'd be a lot more excited to see her if I didn't already catch her in her other form. But I'm still pretty pumped and she's one of my highest to see on the lineup.
As I mentioned... I really hope Jonathon Rice gets a Cafe Act himself this year if he'll already be there with Jenny. I also have to say Department of Eagles seems like a good lock for a Cafe Act if Grizzly Bear will be there.
I have heard that djjd is Tod Steed (I could be wrong), a local Knoxvillian like myself. Steed has a band in Knoxville called Todd Steed and the Sons of Phere (a play on the Sunsphere). However, before he started this band he had another called Smokin' Dave and the Premo Dopes, who played the 'Roo in the Cafe Tent in '07. Look for them to make another appearance.

Bonnaroo got the government to officially change the days of the week to Monday Tuesday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday Wednesday. So it's going to be a bit longer.
