Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Okay, I think the whole replacing the f-word to quacking and b**ch to Ann Coulter is sorta funny, but more just annoying. Please tell me there's more people out there who think we should just be allowed to type what we want. I mean, this is the Bonnaroo crowd we're talking about. It's not like we have virgin ears.
I think that this was something that was done so that people can be on the message board at work. A lot of work environments apparently flag curse words.

yep, it sucks but it wouldn't be cool if they couldn't join us

It also helps with keeping the boards from being blacklisted on various web censor programs out there. So the word filters help make inforoo browseable at school, work, etc.
That Dosh darn motherquacker kanye west in an kanye Ann Coulter and a quacking piece of poop son of a Ann Coulter Johnson baby he should suck a weiner. haha

I don't agree with the censorship of anything.
I didn't create Inforoo - so its not my call - but I disagree with the decision to do so in principle.
So... "curse words" are out... fine. Why can't we use the word "[drug]" ?
I'm guilty of using curse words gratuitously at times on other message boards, admittedly, but having a blanket policy of censorship undermines the context in which these words are used and the times and applications in which they have substantive value.
If Inforoo seeks to become a "community" and is genuinely interested in becoming a gathering place of ideas, experiences, personalities and information - the use of "colloquial" language should be defended despite whatever perceived harm it might cause to a particular individual's sensibilities. And wherever your sensibilities may lay, preemptively replacing words, on a completely arbitrary basis, with "corn", "quack" , "Ann Coulter" , etc. is an affront to your intelligence and one's ability to judge for themselves what is decent and what is not.

Ummm dude inforoo is a community it is just some people want to be able to use it at work and can not if there are swear words on it. As far as druq talk it I think the thread that explains why makes a lot of sense. I mean LE has been known to bust people specifically from a message board. It is just common sense not to have it on here. As far as the modding goes there are like 3 rules and they use a fairly light touch with it.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it

or maybe you have been smited for saying inforoo "seeks" to be a community, last I checked we are a community and have been for while like 5 years or longer and this topic has been discussed many times over always coming to the same conclusion. no one cares that you cant talk about NO NO WORD!!!! or curse while doing so, this is a message board and the moderators have a right to do what they want with it, thats their freedom since they run this place.

I conceded that Inforoo did not belong to me and thus the rules were not up to me. However, this only begs the questions "who is in charge" and "why are they the ones making the rules" ...
My personal opinion was solicited, I gave it. I wasn't slighting Inforoo, just whatever the principles behind the blanket censorship policy may be, which I respectfully disagree with and made that clear in a tasteful manner.
Sorry. I should have used some other word than "seeks" - obvioulsy Infroo is a community - I have been a member of it for several years - I check it daily - I'm with it.
However, in the interest or fostering the community here at Inforoo, perhaps the way in which members choose to express and share and their ipseity should be more 'organic' and less ridged as the current policy which is imposed by moderator fiat.
Is it really that rigid though? We appreciate the input, we truly do, BUT, there aren't that many rules around here. Don't discuss the druqks. Don't make multiple accounts. Treat others with respect, and keep things SFW. That's about it. We use the filters to make things easier on everyone so they don't have to filter their own language to keep it SFW. We just do it once and it's done.

Honestly I want to know why I was suspended for 2 days for using a picture of me with a no no plant in the background? i wasn't saying anything like "hey i have some for sale" or anything like that.
I just never got an explanation and i have seen people who posted picture of the no no leaf or a bluntt and such and they didn't get anything
