Following Sunday’s episode, the Belize Tourism Board used its Twitter account to post humorous invitations to the “Breaking Bad” actors and characters, asking them to check out the country.
Now it has extended offers to Mr. Gilligan and his cast for each of them to enjoy a four-day, three-night stay in Belize, including airfare, hotel, meals and other activities.
“Many of us are big fans of the show and can’t wait to see what happens over the last six episodes,” the tourism board wrote in its invitation. “While we hope that some of our favorite characters don’t get ‘sent on a trip to Belize’ in the show, we do hope you will take us up on the following offer – we’d like to send all of you on an ACTUAL trip to our country after the season is over. [NY Times]
So literally just caught myself up on the entire series. Why did I wait do long to start watching this show?
Blame it on the baby.
Ha. I've always seen bits and pieces of it, and enjoyed it, but never sat down and watched it. I even recommended it to my Mom, because she's a former Chemistry teacher, and I knew she would love it, without actually having watched most of it myself. I've always been horrible at setting aside a set time every week to sit down and pay attention to a whole show. I think that's the biggest reason.
Hey though, it may have been for the better. i just barreled through the entire series and didn't have to deal with the anguish of waiting like most of you have.

So, just to clarify. Jesse now realizes Walt poisoned Brock, right? That's what he was so pissed about? What exactly about the pack clued him into that?
Yes. The fact that Saul/Huell took the doobie(s) out of his pocket without him noticing, made him realize that they were slick enough to do the same with the ricin cigarette. Saul fucked up by letting him know for sure though. Shit is about to get wild up in hurr.

That episode seemed heavily influenced by Pulp Fiction. From the opening in the cafe to Jess brandishing the pistol and yelling "Tell me to calm down one more time!"'
At first I didn't buy it but when they revealed that Huell had pickpocketed the weed just like he did the ricin I was pleased with the explanation. At first I thought he was just like "Oh I bumped into him like last time" but the fact was that Saul and Huell fucked up and didn't think Jesse would remember.
Interesting end. Maybe the world doesn't know that Walt is heisenberg (like we thought with the flash forwards) but it's really just Jesse who destroys the house and spray paints inside.
I thought for sure that Jesse was going to kill Skyler or Walt Jr. I thought he'd run into the house and shoot Flynn down.
I thought the video implicating Hank was far fetched originally, thinking it was just a way to speed along the ending of the season much like The Wire did with McNulty and his fabricated serial killer. Why wouldn't he just call Walt on his BS? The writers/creators did a good job of tying Hank's moral compass in with the money used for the medical treatments.
My only hesitation about Walt JR. finding Jesse is that JR's car wasn't in the driveway. I'm not sure if maybe the preview for next week showed that, but I didn't see it so I'm just responding to what others have said.
Regardless, I hope next week isn't Jesse's last episode.
...he and Saul shake hands and Saul ushers him out the door. There's a quick shot where he brushes past Huell. Huell says "Excuse me," passive-aggressively, and just then you can see him reach out with his right hand and transfer something from Jesse's right-hand jacket pocket into his own.
And here all this time I thought Huell was just big dumb muscle.

Holy sh*t was that exciting! I wish it came on at like 6am because it is basically impossible to even think about going to bed after that.
I think the thing that really typified this episode was the roller coaster effect that the narrative is going on right now. Everything seems to go up and down, and once I feel like I have a handle on what is going on, everything takes a sharp turn.
Lost in all the madness of the rest of the episode was the opening. I think it had its importance as well. The first thing that comes to mind is that (clothing theory)
Todd's jacket that he wore last week during the shootout and at the diner was very similar to the one Walt is wearing in the flashfoward. Jesse may be safe yet!
The second thing is Todd's uncle and crew. Last week, we were all aflame with the potential implication of the shootout in regards to the Czechs becoming involved in the narrative and how they could end up being the big antagonist for the season and really push Walt's downfall. Why do they have to reach that far when they have Todd's people right here? They know about Walt. They know how good he is at cooking due to Todd talking about him all the time. They have leverage on him since they are the ones that carried out his jailhouse assassinations. More important probably, they have been built up as being a little crazy. They massacre a bunch of people (p.s. flanzo, I rewatched the end of the last episode before this episode and body armor does appear to be in evidence) and then go out to breakfast with a tanker of methylamine sitting in the parking lot like it's no big thing. If Todd fails to live up to what they expect (and that's pretty likely), I could definitely seeing them pushing Walt.
I have gotten way to into the color theory thing. I honestly make a point to see what color everyone is wearing whenever a new scene begins. Did anyone notice Marie was wearing black for the entire episode? If you look at that color chart I posted before the premiere, this marks the second time that Marie didn't wear some shade of purple in the entire series (the other being right before Hank found out about Walt), so you knew sh*t was going down this episode with them. Also, correct me if I am wrong but didn't the shirt Hank was wearing during the DVD playing look purple? If so, it was interesting to see the switch with Hank and Marie with Marie becoming the more aggressive one of the two in regards to getting Jr. over to their house and her telling Walt to kill himself.
Regarding the roller coaster, the whole thing with the confession was it this episode. From the last episode, you knew Walt was considering it but felt he couldn't. This episode, they lead into the commercial with him starting it, and you can't help but wonder if he decided to give up especially with how closely it mimicked his original confession. Then, Hank and Marie play it, and you find out that they are basically f*cked. Hank was worried about how he was going to look before he knew about the $177k. He has to be absolutely petrified now. As he said, Marie put the last nail in the coffin with that money. Along with his disaster with Jesse, I really don't see how Hank puts legal pressure on Walt now. That doesn't mean Vince and Co. won't find a way to make it happen. I just can't see it right now. On the other hand, I also don't see Hank just letting it go. He has shown in the past that he can be pushed to do things that are outside the law and isn't it convenient how they reminded us of Hank beating Jesse this episode?.
I think we all knew the split with Jesse was coming sometime this season, but once again, they manage to make it come up at a time we weren't expecting. As usual, every scene with Jesse and Walt is just spectacular. The scene out in the desert with them and Saul was just so good. It really highlighted how trapped Jesse is. He knew Walt was working him and is only out for his own interest but can't help but get emotional around him. Every intelligent part of his brain has to be screaming to get far, far away, but he just can't break away from Walt especially with his knowledge that Walt poisoned Brock. Like Hank, I don't see a way where Jesse doesn't see this through to the end even if it lands him in a sh*tload of trouble.
