Holy Crap. In 3 years you managed to turn Jess's opinion of you from this:
You have been to every Bonnaroo, and while you sometimes come off as grumpy, you usually add a lot to the conversation, and a voice of reason when necessary. That being said despite your devotion to mastodon, you really surprise me a lot of times with the depth of your musical interests, and knowledge.
To this:
Juggs who I kind of wish would choke to death on a dick.
I would say when I lived in my first home in TN I woke up in the middle of the night and walked into the living room. There under the tree was a Barbie McDonalds play set fully assembled. I played with it as quietly as possible for what seems like hours. I was careful to put everything back just the way Santa had left it and went back to bed where I laid wide awake waiting for morning until I could play with it again.
I can't really remember a bad Christmas. We had very little a lot of years but it didn't matter. My parents always found a way to make it special. One year, all I got was a plastic Barbie car and I thought it was awesome. My Mom and I made a barbie house out of cereal and cracker boxes and a bed out of a tissue box. She played with me for hours that day, I think mainly because she felt bad that we had so little.
I really don't remember but I do know that I played along for years just because I didn't want to make my parents sad by letting them know that I knew the truth.
if you had a little girl, what would you name her?
what was your favorite board game when you were growing up?
if you had to pick to teach your kids only one piece of life advice that would stick with them forever and ever, what would it be?
when we go on our roadtrip across america, do you drive a lot or make me drive the most?
i am going to come and live in an airstream in your backyard and teach cash and miller how to rule the world. dave will be the janitor. what subjects do you think are the most fun to teach? the hardest?
pretend you had a magic closet and you could close it and say a word and when you opened it, inside was what you said. pick three things you would say and you can't pick money/gold/jewels/prepaid creditcards etc.
I did! When we had just moved to Alabama my Mom used to ride me to school on her bike and my brother in one of those kiddie seats on the back. It happened to be my birthday, she and my brother were riding home after dropping me off when they saw this old haggard scruffy dog tied to a clothes line with a heavy chain around her neck. The dog was obviously neglected and had several pups suckling from her. She then witnessed a man being cruel (I don't remember in what way) to the Mother dog. She waited for him to go inside and went back and scooped up one of the pups. He was my Birthday present. We drew names to see who got to name him. I named him Buck after my first boyfriend (real one) from back in Tennessee who's name was Bucky. He lived 17 years and was the best dog ever. He alerted us to a fire by going bat shit crazy. Had he not done that we would had lost a lot more than a barn and a bunch of hay. Dave got to meet him. I loved that dog so much and I miss him still.

We had decided on Caroline Love if we had a girl. I liked Frankie, Svetlana (or any Russian sounding girl name), or Bobbi-Sue (or any combo country girl name) but Dave nixed all those

The most fun for me is probably History because I learned so little of it in school. All through Middle and High School our history teachers were basically coaches who didn't give a shit. If a couple girls would sit on my 7th grade history teacher's desk, we could do whatever we wanted...seriously. The hardest is handwriting. Cash hates it, and gets so frustrated with writing. It's basically him getting mad at me and then me getting mad at him.

An around the world trip for my family. A new car (hopefully it's a big closet) I would wish that the closet was turned into a full bathroom with 100 water jets in the shower and a whirlpool tub.
What are your top 3 skills/ things you are good at doing?
Due to moving around a lot as a child, I think I'm pretty good at making friends. I'm a great Mother I'm also find myself in mgmt roles in any job or situation.
Have you ever been in an altercation the got physical? What happened?
I've been in several. The first day of high school a girl screamed at me "Get of the grass, freshman freak!" or something like that. I figured it was the time to stand up for myself or my high school years would be miserable.
Outside of The Carosel (a gay bar in Knoxville) a couple friends of mine were spanging and got into a fight with some frat boys, we ended up in the middle, beer bottles went flying.
The only one that taught me anything was a fight with my brother when I was about 22. I have always been the mean/bigger older sister. I moved away when I was 17 so I hadn't spent a whole lot of time on neutral ground with him, though he did live at my house for a couple years in there, I always had the power of "my way or gtfo out". Well we were at my parent's house and fighting about something and I pushed him hard back over the couch. He was furious and came at me. I remember that is the point where I realized he was several inches taller than me and more pissed than I had ever seen. He hit me once, closed fisted, and blacked my eye. As soon as he did it he jumped back like he was snapped out of a dream. I totally deserved it but it's the only time I've really ever had any negative consequences from getting into physical altercations. That was the last time it has gone that far and lesson learned.
I'm not sure of specific point in time. I had dated a lot of losers and a few overly nice guys before Dave. Getting married and having kids was never that important to me but after a couple years together, I all the sudden started having feelings like I wanted to have BABIES! I also wanted a solid commitment from him. I used to be a very jealous person and always worried about him leaving me so I really wanted to be engaged to him. I never really thought about the getting married part we just kinda took that next step to make life easier for ourselves.
What are some things about farm life that are particularly interesting that I would never otherwise know about (being from the NE)?
Not sure if any of it is particularly interesting. You have to add gravel or rock to chicken feed so the eggs are hard. Sometimes you will get eggs with no shell just the membrane. Hay isn't just tall grass. It has to be seeded, cut, spread, then bailed. Once it's bailed and sitting in the field, if it calls for rain, your ass will have to get up at 2am and work till 7am throwing bails of hay into truck and then unloading them in a barn. It sucks. Goats are mean. Shetland ponies are also mean and will bite. Female pigs can get horny and try to have sex with dogs. Peaches use a lot of chemicals/antifungals before they ever reach your mouth. Never weed a patch of greens unless you know exactly what they look like while they are growing. You will end up with a nicely weeded field of weeds and a mad Father.
Places you would like to live in the US? How about the world?
We are looking toward Nashville or Asheville in the next couple years. Fact is, I'm still attached at the hip to my Ma and I want my kids to be around their grandparents so that keeps us here.
In the future, I'd like to spend some time in Europe and South America. I'd also like to live in New Zealand for a while. I have a good friend who moved there and she loves it. Her pictures are beautiful.
Is the world ending on Friday or are we going to have some kind of cosmic revelation or paradigm shift?
Nah, when we have destroyed the Earth beyond repair (like now) she will kill us off slowly and uneventfully or we will kill each other off with World Wars. But the Myans did make it a good day for parties. I like how they lined it up to fall on the weekend
Tell me about your favorite teacher/professor that you have ever had. How have they had an impact on your life/ outlook on life?
Probably my Comp I & II professor in College. I wrote for year book and did pretty well on essays in High School and enjoyed writing but I have always sucked at grammar and structure. I was always able to get a good grade with just content. In College, I thought it would be much the same. She would point out all the errors but say that she enjoyed reading it, great descriptions etc. About mid semester, she pulled me into her office and tossed my essay back at me. She said she would put a zero on it if I didn't do it right. It was well written but full of my normal mistakes. She then yelled at me because she said, "Yes you know how to write good pieces but you aren't learning anything in my class. You think you can get by on what you already know and not bother to learn anything more? Why the hell are you paying me money? You want an A? Learn something! WORK FOR IT! It's your money, why are you wasting it?" From then on I still worked hard on content, like I did before, but I also spent several hours with that damned Harbrace Handbook and in the writing lounge. I decided that I needed to learn from the classes not just get an A which was a huge shift from how I viewed school before.
It really annoys me when people chew with their front teeth. I also don't like people to hang over my shoulder, touch my face, or put hands around my neck.
I know your kids are young, but I'm sure you must think about this - what do you hope your kids become when they grow up?
I hope they are happy. I could care less what job they do, who they marry or even if they do get married, just as long as they grow up to be Mama's boys.
What's it like being at inforoo brunch for the first time?
It was super cool. A whole bunch of us in tutus were walking to brunch, pulling a cart with food, music, and booze. The first person we see as we are looking for it is Bandeto. I didn't know who he was at the time but he has this brilliant smile and was looking for brunch too. As soon as we found it, I never wanted to leave. There were beer funnels, happy dances, hugs, jokes, music, sing-a-longs, amazing foods, Belgians, tutus, tears, smoke, rock stars, booty dropping, and some of the most amazing people on the planet in one very small space.

Sorry for the delay! Our January 2013 BMOTM is Gardenfresh! A guy who we have gotten to know and love in chat, and who the rest of you would be lucky to hear more about.
Freshie- Best set of 2012 Bonnaroo? New Years Resolution? What do you see happening for you in 2013? What did you do for NYE this year? Tell us about your Christmas!
Radiohead, of course! But my favorite non-Radiohead set was Mariachi El Bronx. They were the second band I saw on Thursday and just so many things were right. Besides there being a sweet conga-line... the "That" tent is my favorite tent, the music was upbeat and fun, the crowd was perfectly into the show, everyone was dancing, it just screamed "Bonnarooo has arrived." And now Mariachi El Bronx is definitely one of my favorite bands.
Honestly, who knows. I can barely predict what's happening me for me in upcoming weekends. I would like to eventually meet someone, and I am hoping that sometime in 2013 I get some more guidance as where I am headed career wise.
Me and a buddy went down to the Rose Parade route and walked up and down Colorado Blvd people watching etc. Pasadena it's nuts that time of year, everyone camps out for the parade and there's a lot going on (buskers, street vendors, etc.) After that I watched the East Coast ball drop on web-stream and was out cold before 10:30 my time.
My mom had a xmas eve party and only two people came! (True story). It was just me and her on xmas morning, then we all traveled to ATL to meet up with the rest of the fam for the weekend. It was awesome. I spent two hours helping my nephew put together his first Lego set, and he broke it right away and cried. Poor guy isn't old enough yet for Legos.
The one that stands out to me right now when someone said I was "Genuine." He was saying it in the context of "You are not afraid to be yourself no matter what the cost" and it meant a lot at the time. Sometimes I get very self conscience about being liked.
This is a petpeeve of mine: calling me by my last name, or partial last name. That to me is the biggest insult of all time. Learn my freaking name. I've taken the time to learn yours, learn mine. It was even worse at high school when after four years the jocks are still calling you by your last name. It's like "dude! I've been in class with you everday for four years. Jesus!"
Favorite Brunch dish? Do you have any artistic skills? Crafts? Can you change the oil in your car yourself? How about the air filter? A tire? If you could change something about yourself what would it be? Favorite cocktail?
If you knew me well you would know that when I smell out a hoax or have an inkling that something is being misrepresented... I will stop at NOTHING to uncover the truth!
That being said, sometime around age 6 or 7... I had gotten the idea that they weren't real. So I forced myself to stay awake for a whole night. I just remember being mad at Mom and them thinking "LIARS LIARS LIARS LIARS!!!!". It was heartbreaking

But the presents probably made it a little better, right?
What is the most irrational fear (you are willing to admit)?
Work. I am undecided at where the better career opportunities lie at this point. I want to move out there so badly. I also don't want to turn my back on an epic job offer that could pop up here. Basically I CAN'T MAKE UP MY MIND!
I am especially adept at mixing colors for acrylic oil paints. I have a knack for seeing multiple shades of dominant colors and seem to always get the colors just right. That's about as far as my artistic talent takes me.
Can you change the oil in your car yourself? How about the air filter? A tire?
I am ashamed to admit "no" for all three of those. Sorry ladies, please don't let that deter you from me I promise I make up for manliness in other areas.
