Look at what I've picked up in the last week or two...
My Bloody Valentine - Loveless (this thing on good headphones is quite possibly the best thing I've ever heard) Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea Neil Young - Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere Miles Davis - Kind of Blue Pink Floyd - DSotM (I had a buddies copy of this for ages until he just recently took it back, so finally got a copy for myself) Led Zeppelin - IV NIN - The Downward Spiral (First time I'd ever seen this one anywhere, super excited) The Avalanches - Since I Left You (Same as Downward Spiral) FlyLo - Cosmogramma Sharon Van Etten - Are We There?
^Nice pick ups! I lucked out and got my NIN "The Downward Spiral" for around $6 (or maybe $8) in 2000 or 2001 at Scratch N Spin here in Columbia... since then, I haven't seen another original pressing of this anywhere. I do see the 180 gram rerelease here and there, though. Still haven't seen a single copy of "The Fragile" in person, ever.
Handful more pickups over the last few days:
Prince - Sign O The Times (one of my most wanted records ever, just happened to walk into a store mere minutes after it was put out. Price was right, too!) Leon Russell - Carney Arcade Fire - Funeral Return To Forever - Live (and it's a promo copy, too!) Be Bop Deluxe - Sunburst Finish (this one was a shock to find buried in the discount bin)
I think I'm going to scour Discogs for late 80s/early 90s Legendary Pink Dots... I bet they're an arm and a leg, though.

Fuck my bank account!
Scared to ask how much you paid for the NIN but I also want to know, if you are willing to share.

It was $29. The priciest one of those that I got was actually Since I Left You at $37, since it was an import. I got most of that stuff at Fantasyland Records in ATL which has very reasonable prices, especially for brand new, factory-sealed vinyls. The rest I found in the used section at McKay's in Chattaboogie, where you kind find some gems on the cheap. I hadn't bought any in a good while so I felt that a shopping spree was due.

I know me neither! And it sucks because it is one of my favorite albums ever, definitely my favorite NIN record. I have a feeling that if I ever do find it, I will have a hard time putting it down regardless of the price. It's insanely expensive online, usually a few hundred bucks. Although I'm not a huge fan of buying records online anyway.

ah, okay cool. i just did a little googling, did not realize TDS was reissued, I thought the original pressings were all that was out there. nice snag regardless.
i'm due for some vinyl shopping as well. nothing on the RSD list is really speaking to me so I'll probably pop in my local store next week before thanksgiving.
Pressed on heavyweight, 180g blue vinyl Expertly remastered from original analog tapes by Ryan Smith at Sterling Sound Gatefold jacket with an 8-page full-color booklet w/ archival photos + foreward by Salamishah Tillet
Anyone know of any good black friday/cyber monday deals? Nothing peaked my interest too much on the record store day list.
I will post anything I find on here.
Not sure. I've been thinking I won't even go to stores early like I've done in the past because there's not much I really desire on the list. A couple of releases from Conor Oberst and Raconteurs and others but most seem like names/releases that don't sell out immediately and will be around for later purchases.
I do tend to check Bullmoose Records' site after Record Store Day. They helped me fill in a few releases I missed out on in a previous year and tend to have a lot of good stuff online after the actual day.
I'm hoping to get the Ornette Coleman record for tomorrow at least, hopefully the Dungen too. Also, if the price isn't too high, I'd dig the AIC Facelift Live. Other than those, not too terribly much I find of interest to be available tomorrow.
I'm going to use tomorrow as an excuse to go to the record store and spend some money. doubt i'll buy any of the official RSD releases anyway. I'm mostly into older and rarer pressings these days.
Although I do need a copy of the 3x45 new Metallica album, so if they have that I'll grab it.

Off topic, but real quick, is the new Metallica album any good?

You should see if your store is getting any of the UK unofficial Black Friday titles. There's Pixies, Beasties, Prince, Dylan, Eno, Aphex Twin and more in the unofficial Black Friday list.
Also, yeah that Coleman is one of my top grabs for tomorrow, but don't sleep on the Ben Webster, Chet Baker, and Sun Ra 3 LP offerings out there.
Didn't get out to my favorite record shop this Black Friday... called them early in the morning to see if they had what I wanted, they still had a couple Dungen, but had already sold out of Ornettte and Sun Ra, so I didn't even bother. They did post on their Facebook yesterday that they in fact had not sold the Sun Ra, but that someone had hid it . So, I'm going to call them tomorrow morning and see if it's still there.
However, I did make a pretty significant purchase of vinyl on Black Friday, this beauty...
SIGNED "Pet Sounds", original mono US release. I took it out of the frame and inspected it, the media is in damn near mint shape, and the sleeve is in great shape, too! This is a piece I'm going to keep in my collection until I die. As you can see, I have it hanging on my wall currently.
Can't wait. The first two are so good. I also just ordered a 10" of the DJ Shadow track "Nobody Speak" and that should be arriving soon. I watched that video like a dozen times the last few days.

Did you order the 10" from their website? I love that song.
