Tyler the Creator’s yellow version arrived on my doorstep today... thought I would mention it because I didn’t receive any shipping notification. If you ordered it, you should hopefully receive it soon. It sounds great.
Neon Indian - Era Extrana Gene Clark and Carla Olson - So Rebellious A Lover (got this one for a great price off Discogs, and it's extremely tough to come by) Gene Clark - Here Tonight: The While Light Demos (orange vinyl)
Sorry if posted previously - Beastie Boys reissues this Friday - To the 5 boroughs, Hot Sauce Committee Pt 2, and The In Sound From Way Out (the latter I've been waiting on for a min)
I know this is a fairly popular album around here, so I figured someone must have it... anyone have an opinion of the Tool - Lateralus picture discs? It seems like all of the official releases are picture discs, and that scares me... I don't want to pay upwards of $40 for an album I really like and have it sound like shit. Truthfully, I avoid picture discs because they supposedly sound shit and I thus don't own any. But, this is an album I'd really like to have on the format.
John Cale - Paris 1919 (original UK pressing, sleeve is beat to hell and back, but the record's in great shape and it was at a great price... awesome, awesome album.) Hawkwind - Hall of The Mountain Grill

The ladyfriend decided to unleash the beast for Christmas and bought me a turntable. Suggestions for an affordable stand preferably with storage and speakers?

It's basically a meme at this point but the Ikea Kallax shelves work great for record storage/placing your turntable upon. Each section holds probably 50 records.
I have the ELAC B6 speakers and love them. I need to add the subwoofer to get the full range of sound but the sound coming out of them is crystal clear. I arrived at that decision based on the audio forum postjack posted whose name escape me right now.

maybe www.avsforum.com? or the audiophile subreddit? both are more fact/science based. most audio forums are filled with pseudo science trash.
Dave Maynar ikea is a great option. I don't have one near me so i use a Salamander A3/B Archetype 3.0. But really any reasonably heavy table that you can make level will do. Get a bubble level and make sure the table is level, stuff things under the legs of the table to get it that way.
What kind of table did you get? Do you need a phono pre? Do you have a receiver/integrated amp of some kind with which to power passive speakers?

Check out the various Hall of Fame collections on Spotify. Best live tracks of the respective years.

The closest IKEA to Knoxville is Atlanta. I found these shelves at Wal-Mart and think I'll get them as they seem to be the same idea as the Kallax.

Let me know what you think of the sound quality of that Kanye, I'm still on the fence about whether I should get it.
