Scored a few discs the other day when I went to pick up The State DVD set
Zappa/Mothers: Over-nite Sensation sly & the Family stone: Stand! and an art of Noise w/ Max Headroom 12" single
Have you watched any of The State yet? We were going to get that because both of us loved it when it was on originally, but Josh caught a couple of episodes on Comedy Central recently, and thought they were awful. We weren't sure if maybe he just caught a couple of bad ones, or if his tastes have just changed that much over time. I haven't seen an episode for 10 years or more, so I don't know.

I've watched the 1st 3 seasons so far and it's just as funny as I remember, even with the replacement music. But then again I'm a big sketch comedy nerd who spent my adolescence watching late nite MTV, so maybe it's the nostalga talking. The 1st season was a little rough compared the the later episodes.

Just picked up:
The Avett Brothers - I and Love and You (I love that they released it first on vinyl, and the album still doesn't truly hit stores for two weeks) Mastodon - Crack the Skye (single LP, I already have the limited 2X LP, but I'm not opening it, this one is for listening) Muse - Absolution (awesome)

I need to get some Tom Waits vinyl. I saw the Orphans box set the other day but it was $150. I have the swordfishtrombones reissue, but only recently started really enjoying the music. I mostly bought that on the great reputation he has around here.
And good work on the cousins 7" california english pt. 2 is worth the price of that alone.

it was only 5 bucks at beggarsgroup usa. they also have oxford comma for like 3 bucks. I had to buy those when I saw the prices while getting the Contra LP.
Very true. I'd probably get it if I didn't have two of the albums already on vinyl from garage sales and other means. It's steal a great deal for an awesome artist.
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.

Just picked up the Delta Spirit album Ode to Sunshine on vinyl at a show of theirs last night. Awesome show. Got the whole band to sign the album too. Really cool guys. I'll have some videos up soon on youtube from the show.
Hey guys! Everytime I pick up some new vinyl I'm going to take a picture and post it here, is that cool?
AHHH, SURFER BLOOD! SO JEALOUS!
Also, foudray, hope you're enjoying your Omar buys. Not a fan of TMV, but I do like Omar's solo stuff. His girlfriend has a beautiful voice, and I really like Omar and Ximena's voices together on Xenophanes. They mesh very well.
