For my anniversary with my babe she got me The Flaming Lips "with a little help from my fwends" and Everything Now single by Arcade Fire on vinyl since they recorded the NaNaNa part at Voodoo and we were in the crowd to sing it.
Also I would love to own Demon Days on vinyl and pretty much anything by Cake on vinyl but damn that's too expensive.
Anyone ever been to Maynard's Music in Ocean Springs, MS? I was going through the area but didn't know if it would be worth stopping... it seems like it might be a good store.
Le Butcherettes - A Raw Youth Neil Young - Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere (finally got a replacement, after I regrettably sold my copy years ago) The Who - Who's Next?
Thinking about calling my record store and telling them to hold that Swans - The Great Annihilator repress they just got in, and maybe having them hold the OKNOTOK that's coming in today. Anyone have any feedback on the actual record of OKNOTOK, I'm hesitant due to the price point.

I listened to the repress of The Great Annihilator and enjoyed it. I may have lucked out, but it seems like a good pressing.
My OKNOTOK copy comes in today or tomorrow so I will give more feedback on in later.
I have had a bad time with KungFuNation over Jeff Tweedy's album, though. I purchased the clear vinyl + puzzle boxed set (I love jigsaw puzzles). They shipped me the boxed set but it was missing the vinyl. I emailed them, they apologized, and sent me another vinyl. I received it and it was damaged (bent pretty bad in the top-right corner... normally I am fine with minor damage, but it looked like something someone has already returned with noticable cover damage)... and it wasn't clear vinyl. They said they had had many issues with this boxed set and should be sending me another soon.

I picked up a copy of OKNOTOK on blue vinyl and I think it sounds great. It has been in constant rotation. I love the 3rd lp with unreleased and b-sides.
Whoever pressed the new coke bottle variant of Broken Social Scene's new album did an excellent job. It sounds fantastic. It also has a booklet connected to the inside of the cover containing lyrics and drawings/art. Even better, the album is outstanding. Feist is going to be competing against herself on my AOTY list.
Faust - IV (this was on back order and came in as a surprise!) Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique (20th anniversary) Johnny Cash - At San Quentin Public Enemy - Black Steel In The Hour of Chaos (12" single, with some great b-sides) Joy Division - An Ideal For Living (2014 Record Store Day)
Live's 20th anniversary release of "Secret Samadhi" by MOV/Universal Music sounds outstanding on vinyl. I was impressed (and surprised) by the sound quality. I have had some good luck with the quality of some of the newer releases on vinyl. I went through a period earlier in the year where I got a few duds.

Did you go? What did you think?
It was a smaller store that had a limited collection of almost entirely used vinyl. I didn't find anything but they did have some good blues and Elvis albums. The owner/clerk seemed like a customer-friendly guy, too. I bet he gets in some good lots every once and awhile.
got mine yesterday, forgot to report back here. i removed it from its shipping box but otherwise haven't opened it. i'm embarassed at the backlog of unlistened to vinyl i have, my last third man vault package is still sitting in it's shipping box. i don't even remember what it is.

Good deal. I need to get over there and check it out. Until you asked about it, I didn't even know it was there.
Gorillaz did an official repress of Demon Days with the "Vinyl me please" company and I got it and it skips like a motherfucker, kill me. Spent far too much on it.
Robert Fripp - The League of Gentlemen Love - Forever Changes Crystal Fairy -Crystal Fairy (being the Omar fan I am, I'm ashamed to say I still haven't listened to anything from this project... that will change today) The Smiths - Meat is Murder
WOODSTOCK BOXSET UPDATE! First off, thanks for ordering this boxset. As we already discussed, we fucked up and the vinyl is late. But now its sooooo close to being in your guys hands. You should be receiving your alternate vinyl covers this week as our apology. AND! Since it looks like the entire boxset won't be arriving until late September, we are going to go ahead and send you a standard vinyl as a double apology. When your full boxset does arrive, you will still get your vinyl in that as well. So now you will end up with two, and you'll now get the cool gatefold jacket that goes with the standard vinyl as well. We didn't want you guys to have to wait any longer to be able to listen to us in your homes.
The vinyl will be complete by the end of July, and will start packing and shipping as soon as its ready. If you happen to live far from our vinyl plant in France, it may take a week or two to get to you. Don't despair if you are in California and you see someone in Europe has the vinyl before you, that just comes down to shipping and customs. Regardless though, you should have your vinyl by mid August, and you should have your entire boxset by late September. Again, and we can't stress enough, we are super sorry it has taken so long, but we hope you dig it once you get it.
2 things: what is the Vinyl Me Please clue? And if anyone is record shopping could you take a look if your record store is selling Soulwax's Nite Versions for a reasonable price? It's $65 on discogs which is steep for a 9 song album even with it being 2 LPs. I will gladly pay shipping (and a little more for your trouble) if the price is right

Hoo boy, I need to stay away from these sales... local record shop has 50% off anything $5 or under.
