I shouldn't but I'm going to try and get it. Ryan Adams is classic and I'm lacking in his vinyl.
I also need to get Cold Roses on vinyl at some point. $50 on amazon right now but some day soon.
Wow - the price of that album has skyrocketed. I think the only two I don't have of his are Heartbreaker and Rock & Roll.
And I need two of his vinyl albums from Whiskeytown. He was the first person I started collecting vinyl from... I'm lacking in a lot of my other artists, unfortunately, because of him.
BTW, Sufjan Stevens new album is cheap on Amazon... like $14.
On the other side... Jay-Z's Magna Carta is on ebay for $250 min. I can't pay that and won't pay that. They should have made more... at least a second pressing.
Pax AM and Ryan Adams are releasing a second pressing of Live at Carnegie Hall on their website available for pre-order.
Goddammit. This is great/terrible news.
Damn, this sold out already?!?!?!?! I saw the 10 a.m. PDT and figured that meant that's when it went on sale. Didn't realize that was when they were supposed to be finished with pre-orders.
I guess it's good that I didn't waste my money but damn.....release a bunch of copies Ryan. Come on.

I got it. I Feel guilty but I'm also kinda happy. Doesn't arrive until the summer and I'll take a whole day of just listening to it from beginning to end.
I built this record shelf over the weekend. Had some cleanup help from my dad since I'm terrible at cutting shit. Anyway, I needed some more space for my records and I wanted to try this out after I found the plans for it online. Really happy with how it turned out:
Went to Wal Mart today to get some random things for around the house and found these things on some random shelf for 50 cents each. They were marked down a lot because I guess they had been on clearance for many weeks or something. They are absolutely perfect for 7" singles.
When I first started buying records I used one of these and it was perfect. I just have too many records and not enough crates to make it a feasible option now.
This Vault package is stunning. I am so impressed that the value of these packages seems to increase each time!
Yea, they recently started to use that soft-touch box for some packages and it's amazing. I have three vault packages that use that smooth outer box and I love it. Still have to listen to side 4 of the LP but it's been great so far. Can't wait to watch the DVD.
Peter Gabriel - Melt: Apparently he recorded alternate versions of his early albums with German lyrics. I had no idea. This is the german version, haven't listened yet.
The Smiths - The Queen Is Dead: original Rough Trade pressing, hell yes!
Pearl Jam - Vitalogy: original pressing, not the remixed recent release. hell yes again!
I also first the first time looked up from the stacks and noticed all the store's "top shelf" records. Like an original pressing of Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness for a mere $300.

The girl who was working in the RRS warned me that this one would be one of the better packages. She was the one who designed the bonnaroo box set.
Even though the packaging was nothing special, the Racontuers live at The Ryman was probably my favorite before these last two packages.
Edit: Also, I was happy to see that this package came with another sleeve for the records for easier storage options

Just got my first Vault package and it's amazing. I was not expecting that level of care and detail. Got one more coming, but can't make it a regular thing. Still very cool and makes me appreciate Jack White being a badass even more.

Yup. $60 every 3 months (you can cancel any time) and you get exclusive vinyl (usually LP and 7"....sometimes they switch it up) and some other merch (DVD, postcards, posters, shirts, etc.) plus access to pre-sales and chats and things like that from Third Man

My wife got me last quarter's vault but we didn't cancel early enough so I'm getting this one too! A little sad I missed the run of White Stripes singles box>lazaretto special edition>White Stripes in Japan>Bonnaroo, but this is still cool. I'm excited for the gold vinyl and the rated x single.
