The schedule is great. I thought another add of a few "names" would be needed, but there is nowhere to put them. I have a few conflicts, but for the most part it is bands playing twice. So it works out. Bonnaroo needs to find a way to have certain bands play twice. It would really help with conflict.

very little conflicts. I am not looking forward to Lotus vs. The Machine as well. Ive seen The Machine a bunch of times, but who knows if they will put on the most theatrical set just because its a fest, or if Lotus will tear down the stage beacuse they are playing late night after Biscuits...... tough one

Wakarusa at Mulberry Mountain
June 3-6, 2010
Carnival Rides :: Conscious Alliance Food Drive :: Coffee House Sets :: We're listening to your feedback :: Activities :: Leave the nitrous at home . . . It's hard to believe, but we're just over 1 month away from our favorite weekend of the year! Are you ready? If you don't already have your tickets, you better get them soon. The price of our Full Event Passes increases to the next level at midnight on May 14th . Don't miss out on this final opportunity to pocket some cash prior to Wakarusa!
As if there weren't enough things to get you excited for Wakarusa - we've confirmed a carnival for this year's festival! That's right, fun for young and old - carnival style! Best of all, we'll have a 7 story Ferris Wheel to give you dazzling views of the festival grounds and the Ozark Mountains
Conscious Alliance Food Drive
Wakarusa and The Conscious Alliance are proud to announce that we will once again be hosting a food drive to benefit the local community. All patrons that donate 10 nonperishable food items will receive a limited-edition Wakarusa poster created by artist Rob Marx.
All food donations will be collected at the Conscious Alliance "Art That Feeds" Gallery in the festival's "Midway".
The Conscious Alliance always encourages food donations to be low-sodium and health oriented products. "Organic" food donations are especially encouraged. RAMEN NOODLES will NOT be accepted for the poster.
. . . because we're listening! Join us on facebook or send an e-mail to tell us what's on your mind. We've implemented the following improvements based on your feedback from last year's Wakarusa: More showers (nearly triple the amount), more restrooms (over double the number and more scheduled cleanings) and, if you can believe it, more music (we've added the Satellite Stage)! Keep the suggestions coming!
Did you say you want to take a break from the music . . . . REALLY? If you do, you've picked the right festival this summer because Wakarusa is in the middle of a natural wonderland! Here are a few of the many non-music options available: You can book a float trip on the Mulberry River from Turner Bend outfitters; take a hike around Mulberry Mountain to the waterfalls and other natural wonders; throw a line in one of the several on-site fishing ponds; or, you can toss some discs around our 9 hole disc golf course.
Also, make sure you check out the Saturday afternoon Beach Party at the Satellite Stage, the Friday night Costume Party and Parade and the Sunday morning Drum Circle!
Leave the nitrous at home . . .
Our goal is to make Wakarusa the safest and most harmonious festival in the country. In addition to nitrous being extremely harmful to your body, the sale of it often creates a negative vibe at events. Do everyone a favor and don't bring it to Waka! A zero tolerance policy will be in effect for those who choose otherwise.
Tickets Going Fast! Full Event Passes ($159, plus fees) and Camping Vehicle Passes can be purchased now.
Just a reminder that each vehicle entering the festival will require a Camping Vehicle Pass. Up to 4 people will be allowed per campsite/vehicle.

VIP Passes have sold out to this year's festival, but there's still a chance to get a pair courtesy of JamBase. Interested? Register here.
LEAVE THE NITROUS AT HOME!!! Kind of funny that they even put that in their e-mail, but I love it!
This festival looks great. They really seem to be on top of their act and getting this thing managed. WAKA has been getting a lot of great buzz about their management and their new location, and I bet that this is going to be a huge year from them and the post-summer-festival talk is going to be that WAKA is the closest thing we had to Rothbury this year.
There are some overlaps in the schedule but there always are, and WAKA is particularly densely scheduled. I'm a little upset that WSP headlining is going to run over a lot of UM's late night, but I'll get over it. UM is playing two shows, I should be able to see plenty of them.
Thursday night conflict: The Machine (lasers!) or Lotus.... Lotus's Hammerstrike is one of my new favorite cds... but i haven't seen either one of them live yet... which one would you choose? (assuming you would enjoy both of them)

^^ Lotus is one of my favorite festival acts. They always bring the heat (weather a fest or venue). Their sets range from Dance parties to rock shows. Just saw them May 1 and it has been the best show I've seen this year so far. If you want a 2 hour Rager... hit up Lotus
The Machine is great live.... but its not the real thing. They are worth seeing at their own headlining show, very emotional. You can see them channeling Pink Floyd while they play, and... they do have a late night slot, so there will probably more lights, better setlist, etc....
But Lotus in the end.... for sure. Get down with the getdowns!
