was not very impressed with the DVD, but then again it was only 10 bucks. There was good variety but they left out a lot of epic stuff and the song selection for some ppl like Snoop was just lame. But no matter what i have a video to watch of 09 so im happy

Who were the girls they followed around the whole festival? Did they win a contest or something? They were definitely not camped in GA...they didn't have GA wristbands and it looked to me like they were camped in the artist area.
Also, was it just me or were the times wrong on some of the sets?

They were probably Superfly interns.
And, yes, the times were off for some sets. For example, Elvis Costello was not playing during Bruce's set.
Thought the first half was excellent, then it lagged for a bit (Coheed & Cambria and Zac Brown were particularly unintersting), and picked back up at the end. The closing with Bruce was great and I saw myself in the pit. Overall, definitely worth the $10
It was not what I expected at all... If you ask me, to really give people a sense of what Bonnaroo was like you would need a box set of DVD's to really show them what its all about. I found it sad since every song on the DVD I never even saw! I saw some Snoop and Bruce but was not there for the songs they picked. Ultimately I was a little let down, I really wanted to see more of the festival as well which was pretty much non existent. I dont know, I just think my friend who directs for a living could do a much better job at putting together a more memorable dvd.
I'm just saying, if you're going to include videos of the two What Stage hip-hop acts, at least have the Beasties playing instruments. Maybe I'm the only one who feels this way, but I'd be more entertained with what I suggested.
I totally agree. if anything they should have done sabotage. sure they screwed the beginning up but it was still awesome. and phish should have been YEM and included the glowstick wars. i just didnt get the full bonnaroo vibe.

I got a chance to watch some of it the other night, my friend bought it. Well I'm glad I didn't spend the money, and while the song selection BLOWS, it wasn't THAT bad.
And, having watched that DVD, I'm now PISSED that I missed Passion Pit. Looked like an awesome show. And the way they edited the passion pit video was awesome. There should be more of this.
