Spending $9 a beer, and anywhere $8-$13 for a meal adds up. I seen Nats tee-shirts were going for $23.
What exactly were you expecting? Miller Park is known as by far one of the best values in terms of ticket/beer/food/merchandise prices in MLB and I think beers are mostly $7-8 depending on size and everything else you mentioned sounds pretty similar.
I'm use to going to Great American Ballpark, and the prices are cheaper there than Nats Park. Hell, all I just did was google most expensive beer in baseball and this article popped up. I think a small draft in Cincinnati is $6.25, but not totally sure.
The prices wasn't drastic difference from GABP, but I could tell they were higher. Adds up after 2 or 3 games. That being said...I plan on going back next season when the Reds come to town.

Today is a good day. I linked the braves radio broadcast from the computer to the EXACT perfect moment that it is being shown on ESPN by pausing and playing the dvr. I hear the ball and see the ball being hit with an exact matchup. Feels good man, feels good.
Matt Kemp is a great guy. The details are mixed, but basically the guy in the blue Dodgers hoodie is battling a serious illness and came out to see his team play on the road last night. Kemp noticed and, well....

He met him in between clubhouses?
Hey flanz, I have Niese in all three of my fantasy leagues (weeee), is he sucking that badly or is the Mets' defense that bad? I heard people were ripping Duda Sunday but didn't see any of it.
Duda misplays balls evvvvvvvvvvvvery time Niese pitches. I dunno if it's the way Niese throws his lefty curve or what, but Duda looks like he has one eye when guys hit fly balls to him off of Niese.
Niese seemed to be calming down after his rough start to the season, I'd expect him to continue trending that way despite his terrible start against the Braves.
He probably only gives up 3-4 runs in that game if they have a guy who can track a fly ball playing in the outfield.

You guys all cried when you watched this, right? RIGHT?
OK, I know everybody hates the Yankees but I have to say it's pretty f*cking amazing that their record is as good as it is with their AAA line up even though nobody else will. Unless the pitching keeps it up I doubt that they will be a playoff team this year but at least I've gotten some enjoyment out of this season.

My 10 yr old went to the Indians/Yankees doubleheader today. Some guy ran up to him and yelled "Yankees Suck!!!" in his ear. Another Yankees fan then smacked said guy in the head. Brawl ensues. "At least somebody had my back, mom!".
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
My Orioles have been off to a decent start (23-17) but those last two games were a drag. I'd love to finally manage to make the time to go see a real game this season, but we'll see.

With my Jays off to a horrible start, with no signs of life, I would love to see the Orioles or the Royals get into the post season. I think the Orioles are the most deserving, hard working, well constructed, team of the last few years. The Royals have also built something out of nothing the last few years and it has been forever and a day since they were a decent team.

This has pretty much been my dream since I was a kid and I would lose my shit should the O's ever make it to the World Series. Pretty sure I would either cry or punch a hole in the wall if they lost though, or both.

That dream is looking less and less likely, at least this year.
I was hoping with an 18 team league this deep, I could have a good roster all around. But man I have some garbage on my team. Time to take out the trash...
I'd like to point out I bet Tom last week by .001 or something in WHIP last week.
.0001 actually, which makes it worse. Every one of my losses has come down to the Sunday night game of the week. Looks like I might be donked off well before Sunday this week though.

That was '09 for me, when Matsui went Godzirrah on the Phils in Game 6. Not fun to be the only Phils fan in a room full of Jankees fans during that.
