Last year this was one of my favorite places to be when I wasn't at the stages or at my camp. I was just wondering if anyone else is as excited as I am to check it out this year in between sets.

I wanna say beer in Centeroo was like four or five last year, and its the same price for Sweetwater and Bud stuff. Wasn't able to buy from the Broo'ers tent but I just turned 21 and will probably spend a considerable amount of time in there.

I was thinking I paid about $6 for a magic hat last year from the vendors. I can't remember how much the tickets cost. But different brews "cost" a different amount of tickets.

I like droppin' by the Broo'ers Tent, but it's so damn expensive! Will be grabbin' a brew or two this year though to check out the new setup they have!
Yeah, I think six bucks is about right for a full beer. It's hard to tell since you are using tickets. They also have smaller samples for 1-2 tickets. This is neat because you can try a large variety of beers for less cash.

I think I saw $4 beers in there last year, but most were $6 or even $7. It's steep, but as a lover of beer, it's a price I'm willing to pay for a good cold beer.
I volunteered at the Broo'ers Tent for two years. It is an awesome place to visit, hang out, and sample some awesome beer.
The Centeroo beer (Bud, Bud Light, etc.) is $4 a pop. (I also sold beer at the Troo Music Lounge last year.) The Broo'ers Tent works on a ticket system. You purchase tickets at the table upon entering. Then you can visit all the microbrewery stations to buy either a sample cup or a full size cup. The prices were all the same the first year I volunteered, but last year it varied from one to the next. The majority of the microbreweries had their prices set at $6 per cup. A couple were $7 and I want to say one or two were even $8. Of course you can spend the equivalent of $2 per 2 ounce sampler. But honestly, I'd rather spend the $6 for a full 12 ounces.
Yes, the beer inside the Broo'ers tent is slightly more expensive but I can guarantee you that it is totally worth it if you appreciate a good beer on a hot day. It's totally worth the extra money.
Last year these are the breweries I remember being there: Sweetwater, Magic Hat, Terrapin (I worked for these guys - they are awesome), Starr Hill, Sierra Nevada, Woodchuck, Rogue. I know there are several more but I honestly can't think of them right now. But I don't believe Guinness was there. Neither was New Belgium, which was extremely disappointing for this Fat Tire loving girl.
I don't know if anyone mentioned it, but the tickets in the Broo'ers tent are $1 each. Last year, I believe most of the samples were 3 tickets ($3) and like bluezfire said, the full size cups vary in price from $6-$8. But it's a good way to sample different beers and get some free goodies. Last year I scored some Woodchuck-flavored chapstick, Magic Hat sunglunsses, and a Magic Hat condom!

I scored some of that Woodchuck-flavored chapstick myself. Man, that was some good stuff. I hope to pick up some more of it this year. We also came home with lots of bumper stickers and a couple of t-shirts. That's one thing to know about the Broo'ers tent. If you ask the vendors for a t-shirt or something, a lot of times they have some stashed away to give out when people ask but they don't necessarily advertise. So it doesn't hurt to strike up a conversation with them and ask nicely. You might be surprised what you might walk out with.

Can't wait for the Broo'ers Tent. Such a great variety and I seem to find something new and amazing every year. I think the smartest thing I did last year was to buy a ton of tickets early on day 1. After that whenever we wanted a little taste of something we could just pop in get a drink and head back to the tunes.
I liked it because it introduced me to beers from other parts of the country like Terrapin & Sweetwater we don't get here. So when I'm south I come home with a trunk full of bottles!
I asked Bonnaroo for a list of brewers there, but they only sent me the ones on the site... anyway Anheuser Busch, Budweiser American Ale, Shock Top Belgian White, Sierra Nevada, Magic Hat, Sweetwater, Woodchuck Cider, and Starr Hill will all be there.

Yazoo out of Nashville has confirmed they'll be there this year as well
Bringing this thread back. Anyone have any hopefuls to be at the Broo'ers tent this year? I hoping for some New Belgium, Dogfish Head, Duck-Rabbit, and Fort Collins Brewing Company.
I'll second dogfish head- Haven't had the pleasure of sampling the others you listed.
As for myself: Smuttynose, Brooklyn Brewery, Fat Tire (I picked up a six pack of this on a whim at an Eckerd's in Chattanooga Wednesday night and my god is it delicious. I haven't had it since, but would love to enjoy it at roo).

I almost think New Belgium says no every year.
Dogfish Head & Duck-Rabbit would be hot. Loves those.
Havnt had Ft. Collins yet though.
I'll vote for a return of Ommegang as well as Foothills and Troegs being represented.
