When you factor in the Big Boi late night immediately following MMJ & AF, this could be the greatest/my favorite night of Roo ever.
Decemberists-->MMJ-->AF-->Big Boi-->Ratatat will undoubtedly be the best stretch of the weekend for me. At least there will be an hour between each of the first three, but I'm going to try like hell to get to Big Boi right at 12:45. I'd imagine a lot of people will be doing that, though.
Arcade Fire will finish just a little before 12:30, and if other bands are smart, they'll wait just a few minutes and let the crowds get over to their shows before they start.
Black Angels are scheduled for 12:30. That's going to be tough to get to on time but I could really care less if I miss half or more. I can't wait for this set. It's going to be such a different experience from my other AF experience. BONNAROOOOOO!
They just announced an Arcade Fire show for Halifax a couple days before the big Magnetic Hill opening slot for U2. I think ill need to check out some Primus after MMJ now that i dont need to worry about getting a good spot for AF since ill see them again a month later

Best live version of Sprawl II I've heard..... fell in love with 2 songs I merely liked before, Neighborhood #2 and We Used to Wait. Lots of chills during this set.... what a night.
I agree. It was my first time seeing it as the closer (I would have bet money on it being Wake Up) but I think it really worked. Regine was probably the best I've ever heard her.
The only problem for me is their shows go by so quickly. I know they played for an hour and a half but it felt like ten minutes!
yesterday i watched a short film by spike jonze on youtube that was based on arcade fire's album.
it was like 30 mins. i tried to post the link last night but was having issues and now it appears they've taken the video down??? i see the trailer for it, but not the whole film.

I didn't see the entire show, I think I left an hour in to catch a good spot for The Black Angels. What I did see was captivating and absolutely unreal. These guys are truly one of the best bands of our generation.
