Sorry for the early poll. I won't be around as much this week to post.
Ugh. The Beatles. This one will be a bit tough, for me. I'm not a fan of early Beatles, but those last records I love. I've always said that you have to have Rubber Soul & Revolver in your collection.
And now I don't know if they will even make my list.

The White Album, despite being imperfect, is my favorite Beatles album. Happiness is a Warm Gun, Dear Prudence, Martha My Dear, I Will, and I'm going to stop naming songs because I'll name the whole album. The highs on this album are higher than any other album imo.
This is the canon by the way: 1. White Album 2. Revolver 3. Rubber Soul 4. A Hard Day's Night 5. Please Please Me 6. Sgt. Peppers 7. Help! 8. Abbey Road 9. Magical Mystery Tour 10. Let It Be 11. Beatles For Sale 12. With The Beatles 13. Yellow Submarine
I've never been able to fall in love with Sgt. Peppers, like many have. It's a great collection of songs, but I'm in the minority that doesn't like the production or flow of the album... I know, I'm weird . I'd say it's like my 6th or 7th favorite.

I agree with you, Bishop, that Sgt. Pepper's a middling, but for me it's because of the songs. The songs feel right together, but I don't think there are really any standout top 15 or so Beatles songs on it besides A Day In The Life.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
Can't believe I'm the first vote for Abbey road. 8th wolf, really?
Obviously the medley is one of the greatest things ever in pop music. But the Ringo song and two or three of the more over-rated Beatles songs, Come Together, I Want You(I'm sure most won't agree with me on this), and Here Comes The Sun, leave AR further down the list. Maybe I should have put it up at 7th, but still I think Abbey Road is overrated amongst fans.
I'm surprised in the lack of Abbey love, as well. Also, I feel bad not noting how EXCELLENT of a record Rubber Soul is.... Oddly forgotten by some in the general community , I'm glad to see such love for it here.
Also, I don't think there will ever come a time where I cannot listen to Revolver and love every millisecond of it.
Rubber Soul makes the back of my brain tingle with joy.
I really need to give the earlier albums more listens. Help is my #4, but I honestly haven't given the others their fair share of time. Hmmm need to do that.
1. Abbey Road 2. White Album 3. Revolver 4. Rubber Soul 5. Sgt. Peppers 6. Beatles For Sale 7. Magical Mystery Tour 8. Help! 9. A Hard Day's Night 10. Let It Be 11. With The Beatles 12. Please Please Me 13. Yellow Submarine
Like Zapp, I really need to rediscover their earlier material. Beatles For Sale has always been my favorite from that period.
Beatles for Sell is far from perfect but I'm a Loser, No Reply, Baby's in Black, and I'll Follow the Sun are stellar tracks. Some great songs that just got lost in the shuffle of Beatlemania.
My favorite growin' up and still is Magical Mystery Tour. Really wish I could afford the damn boxset of all their material so I could get into more of it. Been a long time since I've really listened to The Beatles though. I think I need to change that sooner than later...

I'm not particularly ready to ever call Help! their best or even top 3, but I've Just Seen a Face is probably one of my top 5 Beatles songs (maybe favorite?), and that + the title song vault that record into one of my most played.
