I setup a trade blanket in front of my car on the side of the road. I would put some random things on there each day that I brought. I wanted to hear from anyone that saw it or traded things for what was on it. I love to hear what you got and what you left.
As the day would wear on the trades would usually go down hill. It had everything from Womens' underwear, clothing, food, squirt guns to empty packaging and dead glow sticks. It was a fun experiment and I met a lot of cool people and saw some crazy random things come and go. I started out with musical instruments, dead head bears, pasties, LED shirts, small rubber ducks, etc. I had a large rubber duck, but I decided to set him free in the fountain the last day, so if you saw a large yellow rubber duck in the fountain, you know his origins.
I am already planning some things for next year. I met some of the people that do the art projects and think I might apply to do one of those. I had an idea for this year, but was too $$$ for just me, so figure let Roo pay for it and let everyone enjoy it.
I hope this inspires others to do things (even little things) to improve roo as a whole.
I think I will bring some items to cool people down next year, if it is still in June like I assume it will be. I was thinking a boat load of those paper fans and maybe some misters, get a ton of cheap useful stuff and see what I get for it. Already got a ton of crazy items on my list and some funny ideas of things to do.
If anyone would like help finding the blanket and me at roo or want to donate some stuff for the blanket or want to help with one of my projects, you can reach me at [email protected] and I can give you my cell.

Was the trade blanket by Plantation? I encountered it towards the end of the weekend and there was a lot of little stuff on it. I don't think people always traded down, because there was a corn cigarette on it when I walked by! The blanket is a really neat idea and I am glad you are bringing it back next year.
