Ok this is weird I swear I just posted this thread but it didn't show up.... Anyhow... There was a free all day long electronic music festival in Miami yesterday. It was in a venue that was way too small. Now I don't know all the the details of how this got started, but from what I can gather it reached capacity, a huge line formed, and then people started pushing and shoving to get in. Then people started jumping the fence. Then, from what I heard from some people, the fence got tore down. Police shut the event down mid-afternoon and the city cut the power. So now there's thousands of kids who were expecting to party all day, most drunk and/or rolling their brains out, all frustrated and flooding into the streets at once. I showed up late, right as the event was shut down and I witnessed the aftermath. The kids flooded the streets. Things got a little out of control, they started jumping on cabs and buses.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
