Good!! I don't care if his current album is the best of the past 50 years. He sux, and his performance was soooo mediocre and blah. Thank God he started 3 hours late or else I would have missed him and the opportunity to know how lackluster his performance was. And that big light show/glow stick show thing we were promised... non existent. After watching Ghostland Observatory that year then walking over to Kanye, his set was laughable at best. F**k Kanye. Yeah, I said it.
Kanye does put on a great show. Obviously the one at Roo was terrible... Saw him and then Snoop a day later a couple years ago, and Kanye was miles better.
Not as many big name headliners.... You ruling out Radiohead then?
Rule them out....
She has probably ruled out Lil Wayne, but not necessarily. It is possible she was only referring to Radiohead when she said "rule them out," given the phrasing of the question.

Has anybody mentioned Wilco? They have a new album coming out, and although they aren't thought of as "headliners", they have been listed in the top 6 the past couple times they've played roo.
Saturday: Neil Young and Crazy Horse (HL), MMJ (LN)
Sunday: Plant and Joy (PreHL), Jam Act (HL)
For rap act, we could see:
Drake / Lil Wayne (together) Eminem Outkast (I agree that Big Boi cant be top six by himself) Dr Dre (doubful) Black Eyed Peas (Fuck I hope not) Jurassic 5 (unlikely)
For Jam Act: Phish (maybe) SCI (not big enough, but possible) Dave Matthews and Friends Panic
and I would be totally ok with AF + MMJ + NY + Robert Plant being in the top 6

Completely agree and your Friday, Saturday, Sunday prediction is the same as mine. I think Robert Plant would Pre-HL Sunday before the Jam Headliner, who I think is WSP. And then I also have The Strokes closing out the Which on Sunday.
Looking back at insider's posts from last year, I noticed a couple of things.
First, she said she would have preferred Eminem to Jay-Z. Perhaps she got her wish this year?
Second, she referred to Tenacious D as an undercard act when she confirmed them, but they played in the Friday pre-HL spot which we are assuming she is calling one of the Friday HL spots this year.
Prince - Dr. Dre & Eminem - Arcade Fire - Widespread Panic - Paul Simon - Massive Attack
Prince - Sat HL Dre - Sat LN What AF v. Paul - Friday HL Massive Attack - Fri LN Which Widespread - Sun HL
That's my best guess for the 6 headliners, assuming thats the format. It would follow the formula of 2009 with Bruce Phish Phish Beasties NIN Byrne.
Dre & Eminem are opening the Grammy's and Detox is coming out. I think we'll see one (but probably them together) as the Rap LN. And I can't quacking wait.
Maybe pop to you but is considered hip-hop across America.
Not really. Hip-hop radio stations don't play them, they aren't really recognized as hip-hop anymore. They clearly made the leap to straight up pop a couple albums ago, and it's been reflected in where they get airplay and sales from.
I'm eagerly awaiting the idiotic argument that's about to break out over this, by the way. I have a feeling it'll be epic.
Not that my opinion matters too much on here, but I agree with you that I have a hard time considering them hip-hop any longer.
Yeah, at this point, with their sound, you could call BEP electronic about as easily as hip hop. They've morphed into something else in recent years. Having written that, I hope they're not there. It would just give all the crusty, anti-roo people more ammunition.
I hope to god it's not Black Eyed Peas, they're one of the worst acts in recent music. Superfly did book them though for Outside Lands so I guess it's in the realm of possibility...
I really can't see the black eyed peas being at roo. Here's just another line of thought: What about a Native Tongues Posse LN set? I know that they couldn't be considered an actual headliner but could be in the top 6 i think. Plus that would be incredible.

Wu-tang for the hip hop group? They did a tour this year... Doesn't seem to really fit though.
I love Wu tang but they didn't put on a good show when they came to Louisville recently. I'd be very disappointed if they showed up on the top or second line of the bill

True... Last time I saw them Method Man was the only one worth his salt.
