She is throughout florida. I see in some markets shes doing house of blues though. and most other places im not familiar with the venue size. sooo yeah
Ok I'm ready to admit when im wrong.. and i was. the arenas are when shes opening for katy perry. def not the huge draw i thought based on my original observation of her playing arenas
Hahaha yeah I figured it was for Katy Perry. She barely filled the fillmore.
Could Bob Seger be the headliner still in talks with ac entertainment? He just announced a tour and from what I've heard it was pretty sudden; as in not deliberately planned out months in advance. He could fill the classic big name spot ala stevie wonder.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.
Wasn't there an NWA tour a few years back with Eminem filling in for Eazy-E? That would be sweet though a totally non-Roo show.
I still can't picture Kanye coming back to Roo this soon. Aside from the fan base, wasn't it just last year that it was published that Superfly's network password was Kanyesucks? Not that that's the most pivotal piece of trivia but I feel like it's telling that a) that was their password and b) they put that out there in a magazine article.
I have a safety concern, too, in that some yahoo may think that it'd be cool or funny to throw stuff at him. Aside from the safety factor, that makes it a PR issue for both the artist and the festival (plus it kinda paints the crowds a bunch of a-holes and undoes a decade's worth of reputation building).
Could it happen? Sure. As Alex mentions, money is a huge motivator. Also, Insider is indicating that we should be thinking about a top-six hip hop artist and we know that it's gotta be Saturday as a headliner or preheadliner. Finally, we know it's likely not Jay Z again.
Aside from Kanye, Eminem is one of few artists who are big enough for that role.
I guess Snoop might be back as a preheadliner. His set was well received and well attended.
I don't think A Tribe Called Quest would be billed anywhere near that high (but I would love to see them).
Wu Tang doesn't seem like a good fit for either of those slots either.
Cypress Hill's done nothing to improve their billing since their last appearance.
J5's got a history with the festival but seems neither poised for a reunion nor being billed anywhere near that high.
Is Lauren Hill considered hip hop by Insider? Or maybe a Fugees reunion?
Why even take a chance on Kanye again? It isn't worth the risk.
Contracts make the world go round. Precautions would be taken, not to mention after the train wreck he's caused over the last few years he needs all the good publicity he can get and what would be better than a return trip to bonnaroo w/apology?

Most def agree, but I just don't think Kayne will make or break the deal for a vast majority of Bonnaroo attendees. I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

Who cares b/c he/the risk aren't worth the money. For that price, they could get someone equally as wanted (and I use that word loosely b/c I think a lot of folks definitely don't want him there). I just don't think AC is dumb enough to spend the money on him...yet. Give it a year or two and maybe. IMO.

If one artist really makes or breaks someones attendance, even with the few amazing confirmations we've received already, than I'd say yeah, your home is probably a better place for ya that weekend. There's always the webcast!

I saw The Cars mentioned and I would personally love that. No one has mentioned Aerosmith....I hope not. I'm a big Aerosmith fan but the live shows just aren't tight anymore.

The ticket sales argument isn't really relevant regarding booking Kanye. Ticket sales for Bonnaroo are never/rarely dependent on one artist. Ticket sales this year would be the same regardless if Kanye is a headliner or not.
