I was really not impressed with Dave Matthews in '10. I have seen him many, many times before and thought this show was the worst I've seen.
x3
Part of it was the mix for me (the sound system is of course great, but I didn't like how they had the band mixed). Was it me or was the sax player pushed wayyyyyy to the back of the mix?
I can't tell if it's because it was an accident, or because he wasn't anywhere near the talent of LeRoi Moore.
BEST: My Morning Jacket 2008 Public Enemy 2009 MIA 2008 Wilco 2009 Plant & Krauss 2008 Sigur Ros 2008
WORST: Animal Collective 2009 Against Me! 2008 Kanye West 2008 Tiesto 2008 Bruce Springsteen 2009 (no doubt a very talented musician, and I'm sure it was good if you like that kind of music... but I just felt it was very cheesy/lame)
Most "surprisingly good": Al Green 2009, Widespread Panic 2008, Rodrigo y Gabriela 2009, Metallica 2008, Jack Johnson 2008, Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings 2008
Most "surprisingly bad": Beastie Boys 2009, Minus the Bear 2008, O.A.R. 2008
Those are the only ones that stand out for me in each group. I wasn't expecting to like Bruce Springsteen but for some reason it ended up being one of the best shows I've seen.
I would put The Flaming Lips 2010 in a surprising average category. It was basically identical to their NYE Freakout show but the NYE show was simply mind blowing and epic. I had high expectations but that Bonnaroo show came nowhere close to it. But it was still good.

Best: My Morning Jacket 2008 - all 4 hours of it Tool - whoa Nine Inch Nails -whoa Rodrigo Y Gabriela 2007 - (probably the best Thursday set ever) Pearl Jam M.I.A. Robert Randolph 2008 Crystal Castles Deathcab - perfect sunday closer DJ Shadow - stayed half of his set and went to sleep listening to the end of his set
Worst- Keller Willams 2007 - bored and left for harper Bruce Springsteen - walked up to him singing Santa clause is coming to town, and turned around The Coup - they owned it at Coachella, but made me regret leaving Pearl Jam early completely, their sonic stage set was good though. Kanye West - failure in timing execution and missing the other shows going on.
Favorite: Robert Randolph and the Family Band- 2004 Dave Matthews and Friends- 2004 Allman Brothers Band- 2005 G.R.A.B- 2006 MMJ- 2008 Levon Helm- 2008 David Byrne- 2009 Phish (Friday night)- 2009 Hall and Chromeo- 2010 LCD Soundsystem- 2010
I thought I would do worst, since that's more interesting. I left most of these early, because of the suckage.
The Police (2007) - sucked, went to the Flaming Lips, saw their "soundcheck" of War Pigs John Prine (2005) - barely audible, stupid Jurassic 5 Disco Biscuits (2006) - a friend dragged me to this, not my type of music Buddy Guy (2006) - he has schtick, so if you've seen him once.... Wolfmother (2007) - sucked Kanye West (2008) - Kanye sucks Charlie Allen (2009) - although he had my favorite stage banter ever: "Anybody here have a grandpa?" Janeane Garofalo (2009) - terrible "comedy"

I feel you here. I thought maybe I was just tired and not in the right mindset for the show. So I went home, and downloaded the set, and then listened to it. They just weren't clicking.
Then of course I thought maybe I wasn't feeling it, so I listened to the set last summer after a few years. Still sounds like Leno to me.
Your opinions aren't actually all that bad, I just kind of think you're an assh*le. Which means I should probably like you more, now that I think about it.
I really enjoyed the '07 show and really disliked what I saw of the '10 show. I feel like once you strip down all the theatrics the flaming lips are an average band at best. Just my opinion

this could take some serious thinking since i've been 4 times and seen somewhere around 150 bands in all.
