I saw Tosh like 7 or 8 years and and seen him a couple of more times since. His stand-up is great. I do enjoy the show but it is nothing close to his stand up. He is nothing like Dane Cook. I guess some people may like Cook but I have never found him funny at all.

Tosh does not = Dane Cook. Tosh has been around for more than 6 years and people are just finding out about him because of Tosh.0. He has great standup. Stop hating.

this. people instantly hate Tosh because of his show and appearance without even listening to his standup, which is hilarious. granted i would rather have Louis CK or Zack G as a main stage comic, but Tosh would be good too.
I will admit I never listened to his stand up. But his show is so unfunny and lame and attracts a fan base of people that I despise. Anyone I have ever met who enjoys his show is a d-bag. Therefore, I would rather not have him at roo. But if he is there, no big deal, I will skip.

1. I think most people who are all "OMG, louis CK is so awesome" just found out about him. it is like this slight boost to Bill Hicks popularity since his biopic came out. and im not hating on people for getting around to enjoying things that other people have been telling them to check out for years... but if you are in that category, you really dont have the insight or knowledge to have an opinion with weight regarding comedians.
2. you cannot judge Tosh by his show. would you judge eddie murphy's stand up prowess by a vampire in Brooklyn? Dane Cook is a hack, and Tosh has been around for years doing hilarious routines. comments like Tosh=dane cook 2.0 is the same as saying WSP is phish 2.0. how many of you could write a few pages on how stupid that analogy is?
3. I love Louis CK. he is, and will be considered, one of the greatest comedians ever. but he could not pull off the What stage. Tosh could. and I wasnt even trying to imply that tosh should play the what stage, because Chris Rock sure as hell shouldnt have.. he barely made it topical. Tosh could spend 2 hours just making fun of Bonnaroo.

Well f uck you too.
If you care to actually care to inform your opinion before passing judgment.....

ugh. couldn't take it after the 2 min mark. The OC.. really... I stand by my statement about his following consisting of d-bags. Total sideways hat humor.
But if you like him cool. I don't, I loathe him and most of his fanbase. If hes at Bonnaroo I wouldn't care I would be at one of the many other stages having fun.

Making fun of rich people in Orange County to their faces is now frat humor? News to me.
He made jokes about rich people in California and a joke about Ashton Kutcher and being punked in hell or something... yeah no thanks I like humor that I can relate to or at least find relevance in. Louis CK is funny because he makes jokes about every day life that come off more as observations. Dane Cook and Tosh make jokes that do more to enhance todays TMZ Zeitgeist then to reject it. That's why they suck.

Oh, I guess I was just a confused sideways-hat wearing, TMZ reading douchebag, so what do I know? Its a good thing I've got a college boy like you to come into this thread and put all of us in our place.
But seriously, shut the f uck up already. Keep your judgmental bullsh!t to yourself.

lol Kind of flattered that my opinion means so much to you. To me putting Tosh on Bonnaroo would be like if it was 5 years ago and people were pushing for Dane Cook. Or if was 10 years ago and people were pushing for Pauly Shore.
If you like it good for you. I despise it. If it's at Bonnaroo I wouldn't care because I would be no where near it.

1. I think most people who are all "OMG, louis CK is so awesome" just found out about him.
not sure about the others but I've been following Louis CK since first seeing his comedy central half hour special in 2001. His joke about living in New York and people thinking that means that once you step off a train you get stabbed in the face had me cracking up when I first heard it. Also really liked his joke about how there are no positive stereotypes like "Chinese people? Their made of candy!".
I've followed his career through his stand up specials, hbo show, and now FX show.
But yea....it's cool that you are going to go ahead and make some big blanket statement about people who are just finding out about Louis CK as if it's some bad thing. That's really cool

thats why i put "most" in that sentence. did you go see him when he was at Bonnaroo?
Nice move. Make insulting blanket judgments and then take the humble high road. Bravo.
you have entered the 3rd stage of Internet assholery
took out your obnoxious gif.
humble high road? I have been saying since the first page I wouldn't care if he's there because I wouldn't watch it. I'd prefer if he wasn't so we could have a decent comedy headliner. And again my opinion having such a huge impact on you is pretty flattering.

OK. I'll give it to you. That standup video is pretty funny. I'd seen his standup before and thought it was funny, but soured on him once Tosh-O came out and I watched it once and it was one of the unfunniest and most obnoxious shows I've ever watched.
He's still no Louis C.K. or Mike Birbiglia or Aziz Ansari (who's probably my favorite).

Yea it was pretty great. The best thing about him is that everytime he finishes a one-hour stand-up special he completely kills his material. Doesn't use those jokes again. Starts fresh with new stuff.
Also, just being divorced did make it better since it seemed like he still held back a little bit while married so as not to completely piss off his wife.
ok my first post ever, i say tosh is the man, he spares nobodies feelings, black, white, fat skinny, stupid, name it he will make fun of it and it is hilarious. if you dont like him cool, but to compare him to dane cook? thats crazy, all the stages and tents bring out comedians to introduce the next musical act, they make a few jokes and its on to music, what do you people hate him that much you cant even bare looking at him? i have never been to the comedy tent in 3 years of going to ROO, mostly because of lines, but i would definitely wait in line for tosh, dude is very funny, tv show or stand up, so stop hating and start hoping for maybe another headline comedian, this is the 10th year of BONNAROO!
