We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

I love the huge classic 90's albums like Illmatic, Detox and Reasonable Doubt^
But my all-time favorite is the cliche Outkast. But that was the first hip-hop group I got into, and they were the ones that made me realize how awesome it could be. Once I got beyond Speakerboxx/Love Below, and realized how awesome Stankonia was, and then discovered the pure gold that is ATLiens and Aquemini. Being from Georgia, it's hard to get away from Outkast, and I think they really are one of the all-time greats of the genre.

I thought Schoolboy Q's album was pretty cool. I haven't listened to much hip-hop from this year yet. Most of the cool stuff seems to come out of nowhere.

I think Blu and Exile's "Below The Heavens" is probably the most underrated album ever. That's one of those albums I listen to straight through at least once a week.
The entire "After School Special" from A-1 is great, but this track in particular just gets it done...
Another to add to the "Most Slept On" when it comes to hip hop emcees is R.A. the Rugged Man. The man has talent that most emcees just don't possess. If there is one hip hop song, where while and after listening my jaw just dropped, its this one.
On that note Jedi Mind Tricks are a FANTASTIC hip hop collaboration as well. R.A. guest emcees on the second (and longest) verse in the song. His flow, lyrics, rhythm, and stamina is just.........WOW.
