Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
In all fairness, the 2007 SuperJam was in there. The tent may seem small but the surrounding grassy areas around it can pack in a pretty nice sized crowd. I think we can all agree that That Tent can bring in the most people to a show.
Is it because they're all acoustic-based folk and country bands, and they always put those types of bands together at Bonnaroo?
No its because there wont be a tent where every artist is in the bottom 10% of the lineup. All of those acts will likely play before 4pm
How about:
What WSP Plant Krauss G. Love Which Strokes Robyn Neon Trees !!! Smith Westerns This EITS Iron and Wine Junip Low Anthem Head and the Heart That Dr. John Hornsby ?? ?? ?? The Other Mavis Staples Loretta Lynn Amos Lee Ryan Bingham Railroad Earth
I originally had Iron and Wine after EITS based on billing, but I thought they might make for a more unique headliner option. On the other hand, Plant, Strokes, I&W, and Staples all seem like reasonable alternatives to me.

COnsidering Iron and Wine are two lines above EITS, would they really play before? I'm liking the idea of EITS going into The Strokes, but having Smith Westerns>!!!>Robyn sounds pretty appealing.
Considering Miranda Lambert played after Kris Kristofferson, who played after Jamey Johnson, last year, it seems entirely possible. I'm assuming they wanted to give Jamey and Kris a chance to play before Zac Brown hit the main stage.
I'll admit I'm not a fan of EITS, so I might be biased, but they seem like a terrible choice for a main stage-- especially before the Strokes. They seem perfect act to cap off a tent.

So is it normal, or at least not out of the ordinary, for lower billed acts to play after higher billed ones? I'm still all new to Bonnaroo's way of scheduling things. And I agree that EITS would be better as a tent closer, but I'm selfish and definitely hope for them to play before athe Strokes.

It happens... definitely not usual though. Neko Case playing after Merle Haggard in 2009 comes to mind. With the earlier day acts it might be more common because it's harder to determine who is a "bigger" act.
Another question is whether a lot of those 3rd-7th line acts wind up on a stage or in a tent

Maybe we'll be lucky and Friday will be something like The Strokes 6:30-8:00-->AF 9:00-11:00-->MMJ 12:00-whenever. I mean all three bands will have a lot of the same fans. I know I'd be there for 9 hours.
Really though, I'll just be trying to talk myself out of a Sunday evening Strokes conflict for the next 2.5 months. At least The Decemberists don't have a date listed yet and are a possible candidate to close The Which Sunday.
As long as MMJ, AF, and EITS don't conflict the rest is gravy. These three are must sees no matter how many times I have seen them.
I see the Strokes conflicting with a few good acts on Sunday, having already already seen them twice before they dropped their stinker of a third album I'm good missing them this time around. I'm guessing they will be on at the same time as Plant and I am not missing him for the Strokes that's for sure
WHAT- Railroad Earth> Alison Krauss> Robert Plant> Widespread Panic
WHICH- Smith Westerns> Matt and Kim> The Decemberists> The Strokes
My 1st swing at this. Surely to change with additions/date confirmations/any research. One thing that isn't changing is that the latenights are stacked and bound to be a conflict for me both nights (after MMJ). A blesssing and a curse I'm thankful for.

Also last year, Zac Brown played after John Fogerty and Avett Brothers played after Norah Jones.

This could help you out some in trying to figure out who goes where. It has P.tM on Sat, Dr. John on both Sat and Sun, Girl Talk on Sat, Mavis Staples on Sun, etc.

that would be the worst set of late nights bonnaroo has ever had.
Really? Hmmm. Well we all know Bassnectar, Girl Talk, Pretty Lights and STS9 are all gonna be late night. I think people would be pretty psyched if Primus was a late night show in a tent. I can't see the SuperJam being anything but a late night. With all the rappers on the bill you have to assume one late night tent will be all rappers, but who knows which ones.

As far as imagemocks go, the best way to do it is to host it elsewhere (such as imgur.com or something) and just post a link here. That way no one has to worry about stretching the page.
FRIDAY: What: Ray LaMontagne (4pm-5:30) -> Buffalo Springfield (6:30pm-8:00pm) -> Arcade Fire (9pm-11pm) -> MMJ (12am-3am) Which: The Decemberists (5pm-6:30) -> Lil Wayne (7:15pm-8:45pm) This: Warren Haynes Band (closer) --> LN Ratatat, Pretty Lights That: Gogol Bordello (closer) --> LN Wiz, Big Boi, possible addition (maybe Black Star, Odd Future, or TVotR) Other: Dr. John (closer) --> LN Primus, Opeth
SATURDAY: What: Black Keys (7:00pm-9pm) -> Eminem (10pm-12am) Which: Alison Krauss (6:15-7:45) -> Mumford & Sons (8:30pm-10pm) --> SCI LN (12am-2:30am) This: Old Crow Medicine Show (closer) --> LN Superjam, STS9 That: Matt & Kim (closer) --> LN Bassnectar, Girl Talk Other: Bela Flecktones (closer) --> LN Robyn, Scissor Sisters
SUNDAY: What: Robert Plant (6:30pm-8:00pm) -> Widespread Panic (9pm-11:30pm) Which: The Strokes (7:15pm-8:45pm) This: Iron & Wine (closer) That: Del McCoury Band (closer) Other: Explosions in the Sky (closer)
Decemberists and Primus are Friday, Mumford is Saturday. I can't imagine a Swedish pop singer like Robyn being a late night. Girl Talk says he's playing Saturday but technically Friday late night is Saturday. Same goes for Dr. John. He's saying Saturday and Sunday. I'd imagine with the Black Keys on Saturday, SuperJam will be late night Saturday with Dr. John on Sunday.

I had to post a little early because my computer was dying. I've been working on it some since then, still am. That said, much of what I've got right now is very approximate; even so-called 'confirmations' aren't always very certain (who is Pollstar anyway?). Currently my main concern is judging who will be playing late nights versus closing tents versus playing the stages during the day.
As far as Robyn goes I'm not sure what your hangup is. It's dance pop. Late night makes perfect sense. What I can't imagine is her playing in the middle of the day, unless they were specifically trying to kill half the fun of a dance pop act.
I could see her and Scissor Sisters closing out a tent though. I think she would play after them though; she's currently more relevant. Still, being dance acts, night time makes the most sense for them IMO. I don't really see much of a way to build a full late night schedule without at least one of them. Or Explosions in the Sky. Or Deerhunter or somebody. IDK. This year doesn't have that many acts that are begging for latenight, but I can tell you that Robyn and Scissor Sisters absolutely are.
