After several days of thinking I have come up with 3 artists I would want to make this roo perfect. Trampled By Turtles, Childish Gambino, Passion Pit.
jack white is bound to be there with either wanda jackson, karen elson, or loretta lynn. he said in an interview for sxsw that he wanted to take the third man records bus to bonnaroo

There is no way anyone else could play with Wanda Jackson. Her new album is all Jack White on guitar, nobody else could play it properly. It's a great album by the way, really fun rock-a-billy music by two of the greats. Throw in the bus talk and well I'm feeling pretty good about the chances he is there. I can't wait for her set, ho ho, hell it's probably the closest we will ever get to Elvis as well!

Anyone hoping for The Antlers can let it go. (Myself included) They released dates today and have shows on the 9,10,11,12 in 4 different cities. Holy travel time.

i agree. hes toured with her every where else. why wouldnt he be with her at roo? and ur right, nobody else could play the way he plays. hes not the most technical guitarist, but when it comes to style and a distinct tone, jack white is one of a kind. he has one of the most distinct sounds i have heard in a while. very unique
Avetts just announced their Summer tour and Bonnaroo dates are STILL very open
please please please please please
I know the rule is usually "meteoric rise between years" but the Avett Brothers are an indisputable draw at this point and their song book is actually about five times deeper than any other act that has backed-to-backed before.

Out of curiosity, whats the beef with Avett Bros.? I'm not a huge fan but I don't think I have ever encountered someone who was against (doesn't like) their music.
I've pretty much lost all respect for the Avett Brothers. There is no reason for them to come back this year.
Yeah, no reason whatsoever. Except to please the thousands who packed the Which stage last year to see them. It was probably one of my 3 favorite shows of '10, and they bring tons of energy every time I see them live. Doubt they get added, but would love it if it happened.
