I hear that. Fri. I went and saw this extremely crappy cover band in my town. They covered everthing from Tool to nickelback to Pink Floyd to hoobastank. It was like listening to our local rock station live. Needless to say, it sucked @ss! I can't wait to get away from the bars covered in testosterone laden @ss jackels. I need some music I can dance to and kynd souls. 4 days left.
Last night I went out and saw my favorite local band called The Brainbell Janglers. Four young, EXTREMELY talented guys. Hopefully, someday they'll make it big. Although, they need to get out of this town to do so. They play Floyd, Stones, ABB, Hendrix, Zepplin plus their own stuff.

And one day we will die And our ashes will fly From the aeroplane over the sea But for now we are young Let us lay in the sun And count every beautiful thing we can see Love to be In the arms of all I'm keeping here with me.. ~Neutral Milk Hotel

We have been going over the check list and packing the bus. there is a festival in town and after the baby finishes his nap we are driving Willow down into town and enjoy the park and playground for a while.
We will be leaving to Bonnaroo in 3 days and will probibly be the slowest thing on the road. Just wave as you blow past us so we know who ya are.

where is your bus coming from again? ill be sure to keep a look out for ya...
were heading east on 24... have a good trip in... cant wait. im going to sam's/wal-mart/ and party city today, to get all my goodies!!!
We did a little dry run on the tent yesterday, and realized that puppy is much bigger than anticipated!
Also, my fabulous "screen tent" was dumped out, in all it's glory, glanced at, & put back in the box. Jeebus, that piece of sh1t looks ridiculously complex, and I question if we'll have enough room to put it up...but even with the room, the patience during construction may be an issue! If anyone wants to camp next to us, and is good with such things, please...be my guest...and you will have free reign!
After putzing around with gathering our stuff all day, I checked out my buddy's band last night...got plastered...and heard some great music. ;D
Went to see Jason Mraz last night -- he's a great live performer (was introduced to him at Roo last year), great singer, and really fun (where else will you hear samples from Seals & Croft, Michael Jackson, The Love Boat theme, and Elvis mixed in w/his original material). But this was an acoustic performance, which was good musically and pretty much avoided songs that had any radio airplay, but most of the fans were hardcore TRL watchers and screamed so much for his hits that you could barely hear what he said between songs. Made me wish for Bonnaroo even more.
BTW, one of Mraz's tour guests is a guy named Raul Midon -- *amazing* voice, a guitar-playing hand so fast it was literally a blur, and a great jazz/r&B/pop performer. If you have a few minutes, check him out: www.midon.com -- totally worth your time. (Oh, and he's blind -- which makes his gifts all the more amazing.)
Went to Wallyworld today -- got hula hoops (thx for the tips -- I made sure they had water in them, and I was actually able to keep them up for more than 5 seconds!), bubbles, a glow-in-the-dark frisbee, and other toys. Can't wait to try them all out at the Roo!
