Charlotte got fucked. They didn't even play 90 mins. I don't care about the weather at all. Tickets said "Rain or Shine". I am really pissed about this
The show last night was amazing. Do wish it would have been a little longer, but enjoyed it with some great company. Thanks to popsicle sarah and Mike D for making it so much fun!

With all do respect, you or no one else can complain about the length of the show unless you were in Charlotte tonight. Actually you can complain, I'm just pissed about tonight.
^^ I wasn't really complaining. It was amazing. It could have been 4 hours and I would have still wanted more. I'm sorry that Charlotte got ripped off.
I wouldn't call it a storm. It rained pretty good for about 10 minutes. It passed real quick. There was some lightning but it was off in the distance. What bugged me was once it passed we had to wait another 20-30 minutes. We waited under a clear sky with no rain for about 30 minutes.

Yea it was of no fault to MMJ, they did the most they could with the time they had. They made it pretty clear they wanted to keep playing, but couldn't. There was some pretty serious lightning. Most of it wasn't directly overhead, but it doesn't have to be to pose a real threat.
Also what part of the stage setup was missing, I didn't notice anything.
I thought they were supposed to have the Circuital set up in the backdrop. Im not sure if they have used that backdrop during this tour, but from all their festival footage and the Unstaged footage I was expecting it.

Aug 2 - Beyoncé and Jay-Z
Aug 23-24 - FYF Fest
Sept 17 - The Breeders
Sept 22 - Lykke Li
Oct 6 - Ought
Yeah, I was fine with the set up. I was just surprised not to see that backdrop. It's not like MMJ is one of those bands that needs an extravagant stage set up to put on a good show either. MMJ could put on a good show next to some dumpsters in back alley somewhere at noon on a Tuesday.

that was there in alpharetta. i bet playing shows 3 nights in a row factored into all of that too. they don't usually do that.

I don't know what they usually do for concerts, but I know for sporting events there is a usually a minimum amount of time they have to wait since the last sighted lighting hit to resume everything. I imagine that was the case there. Definitely shitty, though.

That baseball card is too cool! I arrived around 830 after Neko Case and didnt get a card, but o well, the show was great. Their encore was killer, played like a half hour after returning to the stage and brought back Neko Case. I hadnt been to the Mann Music Center since I was a kid so I didnt know what to expect and I ended up really liking it. Next summer I have to see more shows there.
