Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I don't hate Phish, I just would really love to see The Beach Boys with Brian Wilson, especially at Bonnaroo. I really wasn't trying to slam Phish, just having fun with the song titles.
Don't worry dude, I am not someone who is going to fight for the honor of Phish. They're a fun party concert, meaning I can get hammered and share some corn with my section and have a fun night. They're by no means my favorite band, or even close, I just enjoy the party.
I also picked up on the song title thing when I went back and looked. Quite clever, you are.
noooo .. noo.... nooooo. this is bonnaroo...not hangout.
I havent given it much thought but i see Foo Fighters, Tool, Roger Watersand U2 as being possible headliners. right after garth brooks and bad company of course

Roger Waters won't be there because he has conflicting tour dates and U2 isn't happening because they are on hiatus. Tool and Foo could happen though.
Roger Waters doesn't exactly have conflicting tourdates. That Friday he's in Chicago and Sunday in Louisville. Obviously if he did play, he'd be the big Saturday headliner, which ironically, he has open. But I think most of us are assuming he won't be there because of the time it takes to build and tear down that Wall set he's using. Would he play the Wall at Bonnaroo without that setup? I wouldn't think so but I'd love to be wrong. As much as I'd love to see that setup at Bonnaroo, I think I'd take Waters even if he were playing on a picnic table.
Here's a thought. Do you think Bonnaroo would/could build some sort of generic set for the Wall? Maybe just a giant white brick wall? I could see Waters production team going to Louisville after Chicago and setting up for that show, while the band (other crew members) go to Bonnaroo.

My thoughts on Roger Waters performing at Roo have gone through ups and downs. And here is where I have settled:
First of all I would *think* that they would try to sign him, seeing as his time is pretty much limited as a top notch performer and he happens to be touring this summer. *plus* the farm is not too far out of the way from one date to the next. I could see them making provisions for him, and he making provisions considering the amount of money they probably tried throwing at him.
I kind of steered clear of this conversation because it seems as though most have pretty much boarded it up as not happening, but I wouldn't be so sure. If they could make it happen, I believe they would. Even if it meant spending an extra 200 grand on a special set for him.
The facts are: He is open that date, which would be the *only* day I see him playing if he ever makes it to the farm (He would sat headline for SURE, I don't think anyone would argue that point) and he is in fairly close proximity. And he isnt playing any dates too close to Roo geographically to rule it out as per the contract stipulations.
So, in conclusion, It seems POSSIBLE to me. I would be ecstatic to see him in the lineup, and will not be shocked if he is.

He has a day off in between every set of shows the entire tour. That's why I think he won't be there.
I know what you're saying but there are several cases where he's playing back-to-back days.
I think the real question is "would he play 4 consecutive days", being the 8th in Chicago, 9th at Roo, 10th in Louisville and 11th in Indy. I'd say probably not, which would really suck because when's the next time Roger Waters will be in the midwest right at the time of Bonnaroo? Probably never again. We don't even know when he'll tour again. I'm assuming after the 2012 Wall tour is over, he'll be taking a break for a few years.

Am I mistaken in thinking that it is a period of time before roo only? Or is it before or after? If its before or after then I guess that does rule him out. My mistake.
Do they ever bend on that rule? I would think that with someone like Waters, they may consider making an exception. Or many exceptions...

I really wish people who randomly predicted 75 bands at a time would at least check out the Artist Direct Confirmation thread. I don't remember the last time I read someone's mock and didn't stop by the 12th name because it was someone who has already been ruled out.

Warren Haynes will either be with Gov't Mule or Phil and Friends, WH bands at rest for a bit. Not sure about Paul Simon and Beach Boys at the same show. Maybe but I kinda doubt it.

In 2010 Roger Waters played the United Center four days straight. So it is possible, although I think it is extremely unlikely he will play four different cities, four nights in a row. All of those cities are pretty much within a 8-12 hour (give or take) drive of each other, so it is possible since they have multiple rigs that they could use. I give it a 10% chance it will happen.
Not so fast my friend. I saw Garth in Nashville last year and he puts on one hell of a show.
haha i could see a garth brooks concert being fun. if nothing else but for rodeo, that song is awesome if you ask me haha
It was the song he opened with and it was fantastic. I know country is music isn't really respected by most people on this board, but the guy is the highest selling solo artist of all time.
Without getting into a debate as to weather country music is technically "good" or technically "music" or any of that... it hurts my ears. I live in Florida and its kind of hard to escape sometimes...
