Prince reportedly got $4.8 million for Coachella in 2008. Radiohead's booking for Lolla '08 was around $2million, and it's only going to go up. Compare that to ~$1 Million for Arcade Fire and $3M for Eminem. That'swuite a jump.

I know I know everyone always speculates some kind of Floyd. However next summer Roger Waters will be bringing the WALL back to the USA. He will be playing Outdoor Baseball Stadiums. He said he wants to play markets he missed last tour. He didnt hit up TN last year. Also if he can put the wall in outdoor stadiums he can play Roo. Below is the link..rip me apart if you want.

This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
Silent Jay how is that not true? If he can set up his stage outside he can play Bonnaroo. Have you seen his massive stage show? I have and Waters can pull it off at a baseball stadium he can certainly pull it off at Bonnaroo. So please explain why you dont think its true?

I quackin hate Coachella...It seems like they always get the acts I want at 'roo' This is our best shot at Radiohead for years, and I think (sadly) that Coachella will snag them... boo

A baseball stadium may be "outside" in the sense that it doesn't have a roof, but it is nothing like playing at Bonnaroo. Baseball stadiums are just that, stadiums. They have grandstands and rafters that can be utilized for some of the massive stage effects required by The Wall. Plus, when Waters tours he has no opening act because his crew needs an entire day to set up the stage. AC/S isn't going to leave the What Stage empty for an entire day just to set up The Wall.

Im pretty positive Coach will get Radiohead, but maybe Roo will too. Coachella always get better headliners, except this year their headliners were nothing special

Unfortunately I think money is a key factor. Hell Roo paid Eminem 3 million for 88 minutes of work (some which was lip-synced). Think this will provide smaller acts (Arcade Fire, MMJ, and such) more chances to headline? Is the day of 3 hour headlining sets over? I hope not...

I saw the last wall tour and I was thinking the same thing. Can you imagine the excitement of looking over at the what stage Thursday and seeing them starting to set up for the Wall for Friday night? The only problem with this whole thing is it does mean Roger would be the only band to play the What on Friday. Me, I think that would be worth it, and yeah I'd rather see Roger Waters than Radiohead, I'm sure I'm in the minority though.

He's literally working on an outdoor version of the show right now. So, I don't know how you can be so definitive about what he can and can't do. As for baseball stadiums having grandstands and rafters...what does that have to do with his stage setup? Are you saying the effects created with the music won't be as good if they're not being echoed on multiple levels? I don't get this point at all.
I've been to Yankee Stadium for concerts. They'll set up a giant stage in center field (a free-standing stage that has no structural support taken from the stadium itself), so it's essentially playing on the What stage in the middle of a baseball field. I'll also definitely be going to that show, so I don't care if he's at Roo.

It also highly likely that the set could be slightly modified for the What Stage configuration and time constraints. It doesn't say anywhere that it has to be the exact same set up as his regular tour.

Well if he is going to do it as "The Wall" I expect everything RW solo is whatever he wants to play....
