Do we know this TruRoo person is legit? Really not trying to be a dick, but it seems like if TruRoo really worked for AM that it wouldn't be advantageous to him/her to spill AC's beans before the lineup release, thereby putting a potential strain in the relationship between AC and AM.
But in the contract agreements I recall that he were to be billed in the 6th-9th range on the line-up and no heavy drinking within 2hrs of set time. Besides that no specific time or stage has been confirmed. I expect him to have the SCI slot from 2011.

It is anonymous. There's 24 of us in the office & 13 working in other parts of the nation. It could be any of us.

Nice to see someone else who thinks this. I declare shenanigans.
Said it in the FAX papers. Found it kind of funny, but then again Sonny Moore has a long history with pills/drinking. Guess they don't want to be too risky since they're blowing a good bit of money on him.
For the record, I'm not laughing at his problems, I'm laughing at the fact that they think by controlling beer sales they can control how messed up people will be for a Skrillex show. It is nottttt very hard to get alcohol into Centeroo.

listing the dates of shows you are going to in your signature isn't exactly making yourself anonymous...

*cue the "I hope he OD's before his set" jokes*
I'm actually stoked he's gonna be there, even though I'm almost definitely seeing him in February anyway. This will keep the Phish fans at bay for a while! =P

I buy into it, karosko. Not that he needs me or anyone to back him up but logically if they are fucking around it will be found out and he will be called on it. Happened several years ago and dude stopped posting.
He just kinda confirmed what everybody was thinking anyways.
That skrillex is billed above blink-182 and incubus should not surprise anyone. To put him on par with acts such as mmj, black keys, robert plant (pre-HL from last year) shocks me slightly. Late night which I guess is possible, I could see his popularity surge putting him near the level of SCI from last year. I still think he is a LN tent, albeit likely a crowded one; but as some others have stated, that just leaves more room for me at an actual musician's show, regardless of where he plays
I would actually say the opposite. Blink and Incubus (especially the former) are arena/ampitheater level acts. In fact, I saw each at the same ampitheater in September (different nights of course). Blink's crowd was pretty huge, although Incubus's was moderate. But even though Skrillex is selling out clubs fast, he's still playing them at this point in time. That time will be over soon, but I'm still shocked to see him above those two (or at least Blink). Meanwhile, it doesn't surprise me to see him above the likes of The Black Keys or MMJ. Black Keys came to Orlando around this time last year, and I don't believe they sold out the venue (House of Blues, although I could be wrong about it not selling out)), but Skrillex sold it out fairly quickly. MMJ played at the Hard Rock this past month (which is about 3000 capacity) and definitely didn't sell that out, but I'm sure Skrillex could have (Bassnectar sold it out in September).
I could see them testing the waters for Skrillex by doing a couples things. For one, placing him in huge festivals like Bamboozle and Bonnaroo (which they are doing, apparently) and seeing how he does, and I could also see him headlining Identity Festival once that starts to tour again.
Personally, I'd like to see him, just because of how amazing I heard his show here was. Unless there end up being some schedule conflicts, I plan on watching his set.

If the lineup comes out and Skrillex is 6th-9th, that'll be a big point in TruRoo's favor. Until then, if I were a Skrillex fan, I wouldn't count on him being there just yet.
Again not trying to be a dick or call you a liar, TruRoo, just skeptical.

I think he meant no drinking within 2 hours of set time for the artist, not the audience.

Eh. He could be running a short troll instead of a long troll, knowing that the jig will be up in February and having fun with it until then.
I don't find it unbelievable that Skrillex would/will be at Bonnaroo. I'm just saying that we don't have proof yet that TruRoo's word is as good as, say, insider's.

It wouldn't be for Bonnaroo's beer sales. Its for Skrillex. They are saying HE can't drink heavily with in 2 hours of the show. They don't want HIM to be shitfaced before he goes on.
last thing I will say on skrillex, then I will no longer waste my time on said "artist": Skrillex is to electronic music as Nickelback is to rock music. That is all.

I'm not sure if you are sincere and saying this cause you realize I am just fucking around, or if you're being sarcastic because you think I am serious? Either way, it was a joke.
And dont worry guys, Skrillex won't be on the What Stage, he will get a LN Which slot aka SCI/Lil Wayne spot which is MUCH needed for the crowd that he will draw.
I'm just surprised everyone is so willing to believe this is confirmed without really knowing the guy's credentials for sure. That's all.
He's been posting here for a few months and has said multiple times that he was an intern? for the company. And its not like Skrillex is a surprise, at all. If there were a few sure-things for the lineup, I would consider Skrillex one. I'm giving the him benefit of the doubt for now.
