I know Outkast most likely isn't working on the album everyone claims is in progress, I know they've been on hiatus for like 5 years, and I am aware that they Andre & Big haven't done a show live together as Outkast in 3 years; but last year Eminem had been in retirement for years & hadn't performed to a live audience since 05 I think? Em had been mentioned but people doubted the idea as about as likely as if Townes van Zandt were to rise from the dead and be there. If Outkast are offered enough money, I highly predict them to take a HL slot in 2012.
And I really, really hope it happens.
Didn't Eminem do a Yankee Stadium/Comerica Park show in front of full baseball stadiums?
I was reading back on some old pages in the thread and saw where it had been talked about for pages & pages then kinda disappeared. And just curious on feedback

It has the Racs on it, so I'd say that's a pretty good sign they'll be playing more shows.
Also notable (to me): The Pixies!!, The Roots, Robert Randolph, and Blues Traveler.
I know this fest has already taken place, but wow, what a completely bizarre lineup. The first day of the fest is pretty respectable, with bands like the Killers, the Pixies, the Avetts, the Roots, the Raconteurs, Iron & Wine, Pete Yorn, Jenny & Johnny, Dr. Dog, Felice Brothers. . . a little whitebread for me, but not bad.
But then you have the second day, which is just flat out awful. So strange.
What!? You're saying Bob Seger, Buddy Guy, Warren Haynes, Blues Traveler, and Robert Randolph and the Family Band are flat out awful. What's wrong with you man?
I think it was to separate the 2 groups of ticket buyers.
Plus, this was originally supposed to be 3 days... Hopefully they made enough this year to bring it back next year. I missed it this year. I would have liked to go Sat.

Hey insider, I've been sitting In My Room and thinking: Wouldn't It Be Nice if we were all wrong in assuming that Phish was the band you were hinting at? I mean, I Get Around here at inforoo, and God Only Knows how many times we've been wrong. Maybe it's a band whose set we'll have Fun, Fun, Fun at and be able to Dance, Dance, Dance to. Eh? Eh?

No, I'm saying Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band, Kid Rock & Twisted Brown Trucker, Blake Shelton, Doobie Brothers, Chris Isaak, Dwight Yoakam, Flatlanders, Los Lonely Boys, Blues Traveler, Brandi Carlile, the David Mayfield Parade, Michelle Branch, and the Supervillains are all flat out awful.
It's a country heavy lineup on that second day so if you're not a fan of genre i could see the disappointment, but that's a pretty respectable lineup for country. I've seen Kid Rock when he released Devil Without a Cause and that was a rockin show, dunno what he has been like since the country/rock crossover. If you think Bob Seger sucks, well that's just on you because I know alot of people who dig it. Anytime I can see Buddy Guy, Robert Randolph, Warren Haynes, and Seger in the same day I call it a win.

And Bamboozle might have a "pretty respectable lineup" for 14-year-old girls, but I still think it sucks.
So was mine, just another example of me forgetting people don't get deadpan sarcasm over the internet. I use it so often in real life I forget to not use it on here.
Phish is a fun concert for me because it unites all my wannabe-hippie friends for a show, which rarely happens outside of a special concert (Paul McCartney at Yankee Stadium this past summer, Roger Waters at Yankee Stadium this coming summer are good examples). It's also funny to see Madison Square Garden overrun by Phish fans, as the street vendors, cops and tourists stare in amazement.
I understand why people don't like the band, but as far as jam bands go I'm fine with Roo picking them over WSP, Dave or whoever else they'd choose for a big jam band.

I'm not a 14 year old girl.. I just dig Mac Miller's flavour brah!

Oh, my bad.
I don't hate Phish, I just would really love to see The Beach Boys with Brian Wilson, especially at Bonnaroo. I really wasn't trying to slam Phish, just having fun with the song titles.
